It doesn’t really need to be said, though you are more than welcome to say it.
In any case, having an optional Timed Allocation toggle would be a nice Quality of Life change, improving the game for many people.
Haha, I went through a total 180 after thinking about this a little. This is hardly different from ploot. The only difference is if we’re able to click on the item first before the randomized distribution. No thanks, but I like your name! “Quabbe”
No. No more changes to the game to combat cheaters… Anti cheat should be implemented and enforced at a higher standard to combat cheaters.
Get faster fingers or adapt to the game. Stop trying to make the game easier and dumbed down. Jesus, its like nobody remembers the stuff that made D2 great, and D3 GARBAGE.
I would gladly see the game made harder and more complex.
FFA is not that though.
Timed Allocation also didn’t make D3 better or worse, since it didn’t have it.
Don’t want this garbage. Stop trying to change the loot system. This is nothing more than ploot between people who were paying attention.
Bringing back Lord De Seis’s old pals the Oblivion Knights would be interesting.
He also had this ability to steal your items and drop them to the ground, later changed to potions only and later removed completely.
Imagine having your Enigma stolen and dropped to the ground in a full game
This was eons ago but I still remember it.
Far more likely that we end up with a Ploot rule set than something like this. Least then it can be an option that people choose to play with. Specific to the games they create.
3 seconds is stupid. I’ve already demolished the next screen’s worth of monsters by then.
I’ll take .5 seconds max.
If it takes you .5 seconds to click on an item, that’s great! Continue doing your stuff. When the timer ends, you’ll either get the item or not. No need to stick around. Just like in FFA loot.
anyone who is joining public games for loot purposes is doing it wrong. just enjoy what you can pick up and stop worrying about that ist rune that fell in front of the barb.
You have many other ways of finding your own gear that do not include others by your side.
You can even Boss hunt in 8 player games, find a steady Baal run that has been going on for hours, keep joining it, and while they Baal, you Meph, just keep up with them.
Indeed, public games are not for loot. Still…
That moment a Jah rune drops at my feet in the throne room while im just passively gaining exp and my hand is bringing a smoke to my mouth rather than being on the mouse. I move my hand to the mouse, i click the rune. Both the hosting bot and my buddy who is also in the game come flying in towards the drop. I got it
Also got plenty stuff from the baal drops. Just spam clicking seems to work fine. So no, i dont seem to have much of an issue with pickit. I think latency is a much bigger factor than some script actually because my buddy gets a lot more drops when we are both spam clicking baal and im entirely certain he doesn’t use pick it.
The one time it is an issue is when i bring a level 1 to follow a bot in a hell chaos run. Thats when i never get a chance to pick anything unless the bot doesn’t want it. But should i ??? If i bring a proper character i can go do my own seals, get my own drops and only have the bot telling me to not touch the seals…
PS: please make sure there won’t be any bots. Make me work for my xp
PPS: if its 1 second or half a second, then this suggestion wouldnt be the worst actually. Not needed, but acceptable to me. That would fix the lattency difference issue on boss drops, but not allow other players to steal the drops at my feet (from my kills). 3 seconds would be waaaaay too much and it being (short) allocated like in poe is also something i dont like.
