My wife and i play casually. I’ve recently discovered the icy veins website with high tier builds. I’m seeing that suggested builds are not compatible because some of the skills fall under the same button assignment. For example I’m a wizard and trying to assign Hydra and Blizzard as suggested but they both fall under the Y button on Xbox. So are there different play styles on console compared to PC because of this? I would imagine those suggested builds go right out the window if that’s the case.
Just curious if I should not be following PC builds for characters if it’s not the same on console.

This allows you to have multiple abilities from the same category.

Elective mode is under the Gameplay menu in options on console if I recall.
On xbox/consoles press pause then select options>>gameplay, next check the box next to elective mode. While you’re there, scroll down to Show Advanced Tooltips and turn that on as well.
Elective mode allows you to set any skill to any button, which also allows you to select multiple skills from the same category.
Just makes you wonder why this has to be selected in the first place… The game should already allow you to use any spell on any button…
Imagine if you created a build where all the abilities you had selected were resource spenders and had no way of generating resources. The option is set the way it is initially to protect new players from creating completely non-functional builds.
