Would it be possible to be able to play d2r on console with keyboard mouse set up or will it be available in full release?

Right now no, you cannot plug in a mouse and play, there is also no native text chat or custom lobbies for console.
Will that be something coming in future? I would love to play game on keyboard mouse like back in the day without have to buy a computer to do so.

I can only hope so, we just have to let blizzard know that we want it. Enough people talking about it, they might add it. But so far, no. We will not be getting mouse support as of right now.

I preordered the game for Series S with the intent on playing the game on mouse and keys. I played the early access beta for only 30 min and could not stand the inventory management. The slow cursor to move, sell, bulk buy…… OMG the stat points is snail slow and makes me want to poke my eyes out with every push and hold……
I’ve played Diablo II for years since way back and I know I will not have fun without keyboard and mouse. This support needs to be added to console without hesitation as the “classic feel” has already disappated.
Let’s think about it like this….Diablo 2 came out for one device. That device was pc. Let’s also think about like this…Diablo 2 came out in 2000 so that means that for 21 years I’ve been playing that game with the only way to play which is on a mouse and keyboard.
To go from the best way to play to playing on a controller is far from jarring, it’s like not playing Diablo 2 at all.
Blizzard…add mouse and keyboard support or refund my money because it is not fun without it. I don’t want to play Diablo 3 again… I want to play Diablo 2 on my nex gen console with mouse and keyboard support.

You can request a refund for pre-orders very easily. I got mine within 10 minutes.

Early access beta was great! The only thing I want is keyboard and mouse support for console. PC has controller, why can’t console have kb&m?
This would be a workaround for many issues people have pointed out with controller (although those issues should still be looked into). Issues this would be a workaround for:
1.) Accurate teleport (and a whole slew of other skills like controlling spread of multishot)
2.) Prioritizing targets in a crowd of enemies
3.) Auto show loot cluttering screen
4.) Town portals preventing item pickup or blocking entrance/exit to other area
5.) Chat function
6.) Ability to attack while standing still
7.) Ability to access inventory while moving/attacking
8.) Ability to scroll map
9.) Identify enemies with resistances
9.) Quick save & exit (especially important for HC)
10.) Movement on stairs in Arcane Sanctuary
I’m sure there are others but those are the immediate ones off the top of my head. Other than that, I loved it!
And to those thinking “just play on PC,” I don’t have one that can run D2R, nor can I afford one. Otherwise I would. But you know what I do have? A PS4, a keyboard, and a mouse.

Hopefully not. It would basically force every console user to switch to K&M to be competitive in PVP. Keep it all controller, and PC and console separated. Play on a computer if you want to use M&K or play on a console if you want to use a controller. Don’t intermingle them.
Well to sort out PVP ovp problems, which is a minor one since PVP is a minor part of Diablo 2, but alas its important to some, make it so that players can create pvp games with options for only letting players in with controllers if you would like that. And also only for keyboard or both. That way you have the option as a player to play the game as you like.
Playing with controller is limiting. I run into objects all the time that are solid. I accidentally pick up random items all the time too. And handling inventory and the menu system is not good compared to mouse and keyboard.
Not really look at COD people play on both all this time game is completely cross play. I have played COD k&m on my xbox I would just like to see that option also on d2r.
