Conquest Is a nice feature, but

I know they need to be hard, and they should be, but.

after I got avarice, and the 45 no set, I am just road blocked on the pet part.

No way I personally, and <<<<note the I , will ever manage to kill all the bosses in the game in 20 min. or beat the main game in 1 hour, and absolutely no way I can beat 8 set dungeons, I like to never managed to beat the one I had to for my class.

It is not that I can’t one shot all the bosses at T10, I just am unable to get to them fast enough. ( clumsy and I get lost a lot or take wrong turns)

I never liked spinner build’s, or speed build’s there just not fun for me, I feel like I am playing pack man. (Also I have never seemed to get the gear perfect enough to make one work.)

I have asked for help, but mostly get the sarcastic “Git Gud!” I suppose there right, but once you have jumped as high as you can, you’ve reached your limit, and I guess I have.

I don’t expect it to change or anything or should it ( Players like a good challenge), I just wish they had another option, a tough one as it should be that did not require a speed build.

Just my thinking on it. That another option of some kind would be nice.

Another option is trying hardcore. 45 no set HC is pretty easy with the LoD gem. Takes a bit of time but it’s fun getting there.

Level up a Hardcore Character. Collect Legendary gear (preferably Ancient or Primal). Level a Legacy of Dreams to at least Rank 45.

When you can safely and efficiently farm Torment 10 Rifts, run your Greater Rift 45 without Set items equipped.

This will count as your 3rd Conquest even though you’ve already completed the Softcore version of it.

Edit: Oops. @need2control beat me to the post.

Why ? Killing all bosses except Vidian is super easy, since you can do it in T10 with any half decent speed build. See link or watch any of plenty YT vids about the topic.

That’s the easiest one between the remaining challenges you listed. It’s just Torment X difficulty, doable with all classes with their starter Sets once you progress far enough. You aren’t road blocked.
Restart the game until you find Bounty quests for killing at least two of; Urzael, Araneae, Diablo; alternatively look for quests for killing Butcher, Adria and Izual. You’ll be able to fly through it with some guidance. Try to set for at least seeing two-three names from that list as a Bounty quest, rest would be up to you.

As you enter the game, just bring up overworld map and have a quick glance at the Act you are in before teleporting quickly. Preferably, you’d want to start from New Tristram, Westmarch or Bastion’s Keep to get rid of Izual, Araneae, Urzael or Adria first.
Luckily the Bounty quest events happening in the Passage to Corvus and Westmarch Heights usually located pretty close to their respective boss area. So you can even find them by getting near bounty event, if the location has spawned one.

Hard part is only locating Urzael, Araneae, Diablo and perhaps awaiting Malthael’s death animations. You have landmarks for other bosses with ease or other quest events spawn nearby them. You can ignore Vidian as he’s not part of this challenge.
All other bosses are at the end of a very linear pathway, be it Malthael, Skeleton King, Belial, Azmodan or Maghda. Just leave Diablo for the last confrontation, as his dramatic death animation keeps going for a minute. That costs you if you still have names on your to-do list.

Each act only having 3 bosses to their name, killing 15 bosses in 20 mins is fair challenge. Given that you can nearly one shot them in T10, you won’t have many hurdles besides setting your build’s mobility options. In-geom, Echoing Fury, Cindercoat and sometimes Captain Crimson’s Set pieces usually helps you to be mobile enough to navigate that maze like structure. Think it as a training before you ready yourself for finishing your Set Dungeon.

Remember, when all fails you can always bring a friend. Split to navigate towards different boss events then head to Diablo as a team of two. One can easily kill all three bosses of act 2 or act 3 while another look for Adria, Urzael or Araneae. When hard to locate bosses are done, rest would be easy.

Then all your efforts are kind of in vain if you never beat the Set dungeon once. You won’t get the Guardian to grab extra chest tab. I can help and give directions for Monk but I can’t do anything beyond that.

Honestly if you run enough bounties, you start getting used to layouts of the maps leading to the monsters and can make some good estimations of their locations which leads to you less likely running into dead ends and/or getting lost. So it’s only a question as to whether the build you’re using is fast enough. That said, since you stated to dislike running speed builds in general, I’d say that running a hc character and clearing a greater rift 45 without a set item equipped, as some of the others here have mentioned, would be your best option.

Kill all the bosses is easy, but you can always get someone to help you. They go after the hard bosses while you go after the easier ones and when they get there they invite you for the kill.

Most the bosses are static maps. The few that change are Adria, Urzael, Diablo, Izual, Ghom, Spider queen, Butcher.

Pro Tip 1: Start in act 5
Pro Tip 2: Get Urzael or Adria as a bounty. This way you get the cheater arrows.

Timing: When you A5 done in 6 minutes or less, you have enough time to finish the rest.

Remember, you do not need to play the speed build for 3 months, just 20 minutes. If it is the pet you want, just play the build you don’t like for 20 minutes, then play 2000 hours with the build you enjoy and the pet.

You do not need to get the gear anywhere near perfect. I have done this Conquest with the standard UE MS build and standard HT Garg build with only slight tweaks. I use blood vengeance passive on UE, so I keep flipping, and use the passive on WD that makes you go faster when you use Gargs/dogs. If I can do it with a base build, you can do it with a few more pieces.

Join the achievement community. People there are a lot nicer and willing to help. Remember, be courteous. Don’t spam the channel, use ALL CAPS!!!, or do other annoying stuff, be patient and usually someone will help you.

If you can’t find anyone and get desperate, let me know. I will run you through it. My season ended after week 2, but leave a response and I can log on to get you through it. I am on the forums way more than in the game at this point, so I will probably catch a response.

They do. As others have stated, make a HC character and do one of the 2 Conquests you did on SC.

There are plenty of options all ready. You only need to do 3 out of 10 Conquests. Most the Conquests are faceroll at this point. Do the ones you find easy, then practice at a few that you don’t think you can do. Enough practice you will get it.

If you do not want to put in the effort, then maybe the pet isn’t really all that important.

You don’t need to complete the Guardian Chapter for the Stash Tab. You earn that upon completion of the Conqueror Chapter. (Provided you don’t have the maximum number of Tabs already).

Ain’t you supposed to finish Destroyer first, hence complete Set Dungeon to unlock further tiers in the journey?

At the risk of sounding like another version of “Git gud” or like I am being rude, you say it yourself that they should be challenging and the remaining really isn’t that hard if you follow the advice others gave here. Even Avarice and 45 no set is nothing since you can get Avarice through normal rifting and the hardest part of no set is setting up the build and equipping it.

There is the gem levelling one as well in some seasons.

But yes, do the no set in hardcore or follow that advice, for a build you could use a nice bounty build (or just a regular rift one) and give it a few tries, you will see yourself getting closer to the time quite quickly.

To unlock the Conqueror and Guardian Chapters? Yes.

But, to earn an extra Stash Tab you only need to complete:

  1. Chapter I
  2. Chapter II
  3. Chapter III
  4. Chapter IV
  5. Slayer Chapter
  6. Champion Chapter
  7. Destroyer Chapter
  8. Conqueror Chapter

If you want the Seasonal Portrait Frame and Cosmetic Pet, you must also finish the Season Journey by completing:

  1. Guardian Chapter

If both Adria and Urzael are Bountys, go for it, skip Vidian, it should not take you more than 15 minutes. If you can’t manage to find and beat Adria and Urzel within the first 5 minutes, recreate the game.

You and 99% of the player base. That is truly the only challenge to the semi-hardcore player base left.

This is a dead end post. I’ve seen this player in the game’s DH channel making the same complaint - everyone offers advice, and he just gives more reasons why he can’t do it. Runs Marauder’s build at 800 paragon and then complains about being slow and dislikes “speed” builds. Not sure how this one can be helped.

It doesn’t matter which order you complete the chapters in, as long as you complete them. For example, here’s me this season, completing/mastering a set dungeon, and obtaining four chapter completions at once…

They are both in act 5, so they cannot both be bounties in the same game.

For funzies one season I left one task for Chapter 1 open and did the entire SJ. I then got the last task on Chapter 1 and got all 9 Chapters completed at once.

One note is you will not get the pet, tab or any of Haedrig’s gifts unless you have also completed the chapters that came before the required Chapter for that reward also.

Oh yeah i meant either.

I just confused Conqueror and Guardian. And I was supposed to say Champion instead of Destroyer. When you said it like that I thought you meant finishing Conqueror only would grant you the stash tab, which isn’t the case as we both know it.

I am aware. Just a slight confusion on my part on the journey title names. Thank you.

The only other reward you get for completing the Conqueror Chapter is the upgraded Portrait Frame. (Eternal Conflict - Conqueror Portrait Frame).

Season 27 Rewards

Chapter I No Reward
Chapter II 1st Haedrig’s Gift
Chapter III 2nd Haedrig’s Gift
Chapter IV 3rd Haedrig’s Gift, Belphagor Pet, Eternal Conflict Portrait Frame
Slayer Chapter Eternal Conflict - Slayer Portrait Frame
Champion Chapter Eternal Conflict - Champion Portrait Frame
Destroyer Chapter Eternal Conflict - Destroyer Portrait Frame
Conqueror Chapter Eternal Conflict - Conqueror Portrait Frame, Stash Tab
Guardian Chapter Eternal Conflict - Guardian, Laurels of Knowledge Frames, Corvus Cadaverous Pet

As @Meteorblade pointed out, you can complete the Chapters in any order. But, to receive the reward(s) from any Chapter, you must complete all previous Chapters as well.
