Confirmation Please!

Can someone just please confirm that Wirt’s Original Leg, a special blue item that drops from Bishibosh’s corpse in the Den of the Fallen Level 2 in Act 1 Weeping Hollow dropped for them THIS year? It does not matter if it dropped in Non-Season, Season or even in Hardcore.

I am about to embark on yet my upteenth attempt to farm this darn thing - a task I’ve tried, unsuccessfully, these 8 years…

I tried to look this up online but the entries are several years old. I looked through the threads here but the most recent one is someone looking for it for a x-morg in the EU server.

I was talking to my husband about it and he was wondering that maybe it got inadvertently dropped from the loot table during one of the patches without anyone noticing it so now I’m wondering…can this happen? or is my rng for this item so god-forsakenly awful that there is simply ZERO chance of it dropping for me?..

I just need someone to confirm that it still dropped for them this year. Thanks!

I’m guessing it’s still there. There’s a video from April 2020 about how to get it and the wiki doesn’t mention it was taken away at any certain patch.

Yes I confirm that it dropped in my group, one got the item but we all got the transmog. This was about a month ago on EU nonseason, dropped on expert difficulty. Three runners at the same time different games and we shared Bishibosh corpses (called each other to same game before touching the corpse). Took about 30 corpses for a single drop. Don’t do that alone, only cosmic wings is more difficult in the game. In a group of 4 you get x4 Dens, x4 corpses and x4 chance that 1 corpse will drop the leg.

Edit: it was me looking for it but I have now found everything that can still be collected. Unfortunately my teammate got the item since it dropped in his game so cannot give you the transmog.

Wirt’s Original Leg is propably the hardest item to acquire since it requires to get triple lucky with the RNG.

  1. Find the Den of the Fallen. Not guaranteed to spawn.
  2. Find Bishibosh’s corpse on level 2. Not guaranteed to spawn.
  3. Get the item from the corpse. Not guaranteed to drop.

That’s three RNG factors, even the more sought after items like the Cosmic Wings have less RNG factors. I’ve personally never found the Leg myself, I only got the transmog by borrowing the item from a friend.

Hopefully you get yours eventually!

Thanks guys! This is, by far, the most difficult item for me to get for my collection.

Hmmm, I am assuming that there are no differences in the loot tables with the different servers, be it NA, SA, EU etc… but honestly, at this point, I just don’t know anymore

I was lucky enough to get the Cosmic Wings doing Public bounties, and I have only started doing Public bounties again 2 months ago. I stopped many years back coz of the bots (remember JJKE?)! Someone else killed the Rainbow Goblin and Princess Lilliana just happened to be right at the entrance.

Ok, back to the grind! I hope THIS time around RNGeeesus would be kind enough to grant me this item… :slightly_smiling_face:

Sad part for me is that I found that leg in the first month or two of playing the game. Still have it in my inventory even. Have come across it a couple times since too. RnG sucks bad sometimes.

I found it several years ago by accident. It’s a skeleton leg, for those who wonder.

Not to be confused with Wirt’s Leg mace that is exclusive to the Darkening of Tristram.

I disagree with Wirts Original leg being the hardest to get… IMHO, the rainbow wings is the hardest to get

Searched Google and the Wiki says "Oops. This item is no longer available, but now that you’re here, explore the Diablo Wiki! ". I would not say this is incontrovertible, in fact I am still looking but thought I might report what I found.

If you just want the appearance rather than the item itself…

The leg isn’t an account-bound item which means it can be traded to other players. So, someone with the item could drop it for you, when you pick it up it unlocks the transmog for you and then you give the item back to the other player.

In which case, perhaps you could offer some virtual beer / hugs / thanks to someone that has it available and is willing to do that for you, if they play on the same region you do. For example…

Every few seasons I get bored and get all the tmogs in all 3 regions. I usually give them all away but I have kept one of each in every region if you just want the item. Of course, it’s not as fulfilling when someone just gives you something rather than hunting, but if it’s just to complete your collection, I’d gladly give it to you.

As tempting as it is to accept the kindness of strangers, I reeeeaaaally would rather get the item myself; Nothing beats that feeling that an item you’ve been searching for for a very long time has finally dropped for you! I know, I know… I’m a glutton for punishment, what can I say?..

I looked at the Diablo Wiki site and it does say that the item is no longer available; I think this might be an error since someone posted that they DID get it in the EU server a few months back.

I also watched the 2 videos from April 2020 and they did NOT get the leg but reading the comments section, they both said they finally got it.

Anyway, I’ll farm for it this week and see what happens. If I still can’t get it, I am willing to consider a trade; I happen to have 1000 uber machines, perhaps someone who has the leg and is willing to part with it AND needs mats for HF amulet can run them with me, obviously not all at once but maybe 100 at a time for several runs. At least I can say that I still worked my darnest to get that leg! :slightly_smiling_face:

Good luck. I agree that it’s much better farming for it than getting it handed to you.

Yes, I had it drop earlier this year in s19 unexpectedly. Note: PS4 console.

Hi, I also found it, maybe not in the last year, but at least within the last 2 years. I’ll share a tip someone gave me who claimed he could find it every season.
The leg is a lvl 7ish item. At that character level the loot table is a lot smaller than at lvl70, so the chances to find the leg is a lot a higher when you search with a lvl1-10 character.
You can collect a set of items for a speed build, like warzechian bracers, krelm belt, etc. then make them level 1 with gems of ease. Make a lvl 1 char that uses them, farm the cave until the char becomes too high level (20ish) and then make a new char. Rinse and repeat till successful.
(Or you can do what I did, farm at lvl70. At that level it took me about 500 Bishibosh corpses to have them bones drop.)
