Historically in arpg games and especially in diablo saga there have always been many types of armor, boots, helms each with its characteristics of required strength, required dexterity, base damage, base defense and item ilevel such as archon plate, chainmail, full helm, light boots, heavy gloves, phase blade, longsword and many more, then those items could be the base of a unique or set item (okay now its a legendary item…) whatever but i dont understand, why is everything now simplified to boots, chests, gloves, swords, staves whitout stats requerid…? Why does d4 follow the same idea of variety of items as d3 where a sorceress(wizard in this case) could use a 2h mace like a barb and all items are chests, boots, helms, gloves without own identidy?
I think that all depends what class type u are, i didnt understand how a sorceress can use a bow with the same dexterity as a dh or rogue or amazon, or wear heavy armor like a barbarian or paladin.
Dont understand why abandon that complexity in the quality or variety of the types of base items in the game to leave everything in gloves legendary or chest legendery … for me a harlequin crest always be a shako base or andariel face is a demonhead helm for example.
Hope im wrong and that everything has not been shown yet, but i would like see a great depth in the items, either in the types of items they are, in their quality and of course in the affixes they contain, which also seem quite simplified to me. where the only thing that seems to matter is the legendary power of the item or the one that has been subtracted with the codex of power.
