Trying playing in progression as I usually do and each time the community buff activate (not often enough in my book) :
A) It deal not enough damage to me for seeing a difference or any value
B) The fact that none of the effect target or track enemies make them utterly useless in a lot of circumstances.
I know we can’t have a buff like season 20 all the time, but even compared to the season 19 buff, at least (with a bit of positioning) I could felt the difference.
I really like the idea tho, rotating between multiple element and putting a bit more chaos on the battle field seams great, it simply don’t seams to deliver so far.

Leveling 1-70 with seasonal theme seemed okay to me, it helped a little not a lot. It was boring though, S21 needs something more forsure, not sure what though.
Doesnt it scale with your damage? So the more damage you can do the stronger the seasonal theme will be?
I hate how theres no visual help, like a coundown when something is going to be casted. Are we supposed to just mentally count every 2 minute? Would rather have some visual help with it.
After about 5 minutes of leveling I forgot it was even there except for once in a while the lightning would shoot out. Needs a serious buff or overhaul.
My Idea would be to spam the skills longer (in the case of wall of flame it needs to move way faster) perhaps 15 or 20 seconds, following the player and then spawn a new random one every 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes.
As it is right now it’s basically pointless.
The flame wall is way to slow. Everything is dead before it ever catches up to what I’m fighting.
I only noticed the snowball once and meh.
The lightning thingy seems like a tiny conduit but misses like 1/2 the stuff and is way to quick.
Baliels meteors don’t seem to hit anything.
The twisters miss everything.

This seasonal theme thing is absolute weak sauce. I know coming up with fresh ideas can be hard but at the minimum put some effort into it.
The activation time is too long, the duration is too short, and the effect compared to using any item in cube slots is weakkkkkkkkkk.
** At this point in D3’s life, just take a page out of PoE’s book and KEEP some of the last seasons effects for the next season. (‘Leagues’ going standard core)
Crits in the trillions is already the stupidest thing why not let us crit for quadrillions and be done with it.

I can’t even see the buff using my WW Barb
Yup just did some PTR testing this season theme powers are like very weak! The power do like absolutely no damage most of the time they don’t even hit monsters and they last for like not even 6 secs it feels like. This soo far is by far the worst season theme they have ever done. I hope they make changes to this before it goes live.

Having CoE cycle every 2:00 minutes would be more effective.

The Season theme is under whelming.
It doesn’t even kill trash mobs.
I am New Necro Set S21, 659 paragon and completed gr 92 and the theme doesn’t help at all.

2 minutes is too long. Should be 30 seconds or has a method to trigger it manually like Tal Rasha set.

I may suggest make COE permanent + 1min cool down on the buff. Currently the buff is trashed. It is completely useless for speed farm. Also increase H90 toughness, double its dmg. As RGK, h90 is still slower than the Nerfed crusader.

I had the big snowball buff happen 3 times in a row. Fire happens 3 other times. Lighting twice. 99% of the time when nothing was around me. I had lighting on a rift boss and it did nothing. Fire wall moves very slow and prob won’t hit anything. The snowballs just kinda went where they pleased. The timing didn’t seem to be about every 2 mins. Just when ever.
Interesting!!! So like a passive CoE as a community buff? Similar to what they did with RoRG season? Since its a passive item we wont have to wear it and opens up a free slot. Wonder how many would like or dislike this idea. Is it worth having its own post somewhere? It is a season based on elements, makes sense.

The way the theme is working atm, I would say please just remove it.
Much better to not have these visuals that interfere with our game play.

Another issue I see alot is the theme is not sync’d with damage done.
I know it’s about a 2 minute timer tho and it should sync with damage done.
I will go into the next map and there is nothing there but me or my m8’s and ‘boom’ there is the rolling lava and my first thought is run!
Yes better off removing buff. I notice lag when it comes and is just eye candy,does no damage to count. Double bountys

Agreed. At least it has more consistent result.
If the season mechanic is additional lag and frame drops every 2mins, job well done. The snowball, firewave, and poison meteors are absolutely useless to boot. Get rid of this “mechanic” and give double or triple bounty mats instead. Limit paragon to level 1000.

Yeah the whole screen/atmosphere changing like that is totally unnecessary. Just the actuall skills would be fine for me.
This I dont agree with. Not trying to start an argument just giving my opinion. I like how there’s a system where “The more I play the stronger I get”.

I agree with the poster. I see this as a useless buff, only it will lag the game even more than it already is. It would be better to simply remove it.
