Command Skeletons Active doesn't scale with Attack Speed

Hello, I’m using Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac to proc cooldown reduction with Command Skeletons Active, on a Pestilence Necromancer.

I did some tests yesterday and it seems that attack speed is not influencing how many procs I get from Command Skeletons.
I tried with 1 APS vs 4+ APS and I got the same number of procs.
Is this intended?

I think that AS should definetely affect Command Skeletons Active, as it is one of the few necromancer skills that can proc Obsidian Ring. It’s sad even with 5.0 attack speed I wouldn’t proc it more often than 1.0 AS.

Skills like Arcane Torrent or Bone Spear do benefit from attack speed and proc Obsidian more often, but I think since Command Skeletons is designed quite differently, maybe attack speed wasn’t considered in it’s “formula”.

I would be glad if this would be changed to scale with attack speed.

Thanks for your time.

Not a bug.

Probably it doesn’t reach the next breakpoint with 3 additional APS.
The server is running at 60 ticks (frames) per second. If attack speed can’t reach next bp, it won’t attack faster.

Try searching “breakpoint”, or ask in General Discussion forum for more details.

Actually I was testing Command Skeletons Breakpoints, but it seems the active part of the skill doesn’t have any.

I tried raising IAS over 4.0 (when cap is 5.0) with pain Enhancer, but noticed no difference with minimum AS on my character.

Usually breakpoints are like 1.8, 1.9, then 2.0… but it seems Command Skeletons take the same frames to perform the animation regardless of my character sheet AS (tried with 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4+).

On d3planner, the skill shows some weird breakpoints (2.0, 2.63, then 3.84), but it’s referring to pet attack speed, not necro’s commanding animation, which it felt like not benefiting at all even from massive attack speed increase.

Would you first discuss with other Necro players on Necro or GD forums to confirm that it is a bug?
This forum is not for discussion, and Blizzard don’t answer questions about game mechanics here (or other public media).

Yeah, I can repost it now on necro forum and ask for opinions.
Sadly I didn’t find any previous posts or videos on the argument over the internet. It seems it’s not been addressed before.
Thanks for the replies anyway.
