Co-OP on Switch Question?

Both me and my brother own switches and we are thinking of getting this game for our switches and I know we can probably play online together through the internet but I am wondering when we both go on vacation to our cabin (that has no internet access) would we still be able to play with each other like locally between the two switches?

I tried searching this and for the life of me I couldn’t find this out so I am asking here if it is possible or can you only play locally or multiplayer between two switches if you have a internet connection?
