Does anyone else want to use Cluster Arrows but hates the Marauder playstyle?
I don’t want to place sentries before making damage. In fact i don’t want to place sentries at all. I just want to get in there, fire away and do some serious damage on my own. The clostest thing to this would be cluster arrow added to UE or a viable LOD build. Who’s whith me?

Your next best option for Cluster Arrow is Natalya’s CC3 which is crap.
Every set/skill combo apart from GoD6 Hungering Arrow is in horrible shape. This includes Rapid Fire and Impale which are mediocre by comparison.
Marauder doesn’t feel so bad with Crimson set, at 50% CDR your sentries are out within a reasonable time. Start the game with 3, immediately plant them. Wait 8 seconds and plant the remaining 2. Just… don’t… die…
Bank 3 charges before entering the next floor. It would be nice if those Sentries followed you to the next floor, but Sentry placement is key component of Marauder gameplay.
I hear you though, going to a set like UE or S6, where the power is instant feels refreshing.
If M6 cluster arrow were as strong as GoD6, nobody would care about the ramp up time.
I look forward to seeing what they do with this set. All it needs is a buff to Manticore and rockets. I suppose they could half the cooldown of Sentry too.
But if they really want to differentiate it from everything else out there:
Replacing your Sentry causes it to explode for 25% of the damage you dealt over the last 20 seconds.
This would be a really strong nuke, It would inherit the element of your Sentry. And you could possibly work it to be mixed element:
I accumulate most of my own damage on the Physical cycle but I plant Sentries and detonate in the Cold Cycle. I use SoJ and CoE to maximize my damage output in both Physical and Cold cycles.

Maybe you could come up with an LoD build?
An LoD version would be even worse than the options mentioned by dmkt.
The DH sets have massive multipliers, higher than any other class, though because of this, the legendary’s themselves have smaller multipliers, making LoD not a possibly for DH’s at all. The only exception to this is rapid fire, and that’s only because we were vocal about being left out in the “season of nightmares” season theme and not having a build to play. They then decided to buff rapid fire legendary’s to the point where it was possible to use with an LoD setup, but prevent it from being used with any other set outside of N6, the lowest multiplier of all our sets by a large margin.

Marauder set have another problem: Mobility.
UE & Shadow have Vault…
GoD have strafe…
We need something to keep us up with the fastest build out there too…
I really doubt that is going to happen. It would be awesome if we could have some way to buff movement speed for Marauder to get us to the next pack of elites, but Marauder is the Heavy Artillery of the DH builds. So we’re going to be slower and not much help in speed runs.
The Companion Ferret rune is a good place to start, 25% run speed instead of 10%, but treated like every other run speed buff, not counting towards the paragon cap.
Make a little more mobile through walking, like S6 without the infinite Vaulting.
