Cheats in season

please check the leaderboards and remove the cheats it’s not fair to us who play legally

Send an email to hacks at Blizzard dotcom and screenshot the cheats, the more of us that do this then they may take action.

oh the irony…what, 5 or 6 weeks in and the #1 solo monk SC PS4 who’s a massive cheat is still there…still tainting the LBs, solo and group alike. A solo GR150 completed in 58 seconds.

Reported to Blizzard like what, a few days after we noticed, and NOTHING done. I think that speaks volumes about Blizzard’s degree of “care” for the console platforms.

Serial killers care more about their victims than Blizzard does about consoles.

Disappointing isn’t it when some play by the rules and the platform quasi-condones those who dont by not taking action. No wonder people continue to cheat on leaderboards.

yup, sure does. Hell, I might just buy save wizard and start cheating myself. Pity it no longer gives 10k paragon…would make up for being screwed as a solo play (vs group).

I dont have an objection to what people do in their own space and their own time when it’s not materially affecting others. It would ruin the fun of the game for me… but if it works for others, whatever…

If it’s directly affecting leaderboards though, as it clearly does, that’s where it crosses the line into unacceptable for me.

I think it’s worth continuing to report though as Homerjnick suggests. I have seen they do take action at times, even if not as frequently as some would like. I liked Rhykker’s explanation of why they need to space out banwaves as they do. If anyone wants to see it and cant find it (titled banwave), let me know and I’ll dig it up. I’ve seen banwaves in other game settings before and been less impressed with the approach than in d3.

Ur not screwed since nobody is forcing u to not play solo… Like I said before have u tried to play group play before??? There’s GR150 clears with DH in it so the 4 man isn’t strictly barbs, monks, wiz, and Saders.

DH plays support or can play trash clearer… It’s not as strong as wiz but is capable.

Hell I’ll support monk for u 2 man and guarantee u will get ur gems up 5+ than what they are at least. I’m paragon 1200 and cleared higher than every other monk friend except 1… All of he others I beat got me by 800+ paragons and main gems 20+ higher and some fully augmented

they have NEVER taken ANY action against a console player for cheating. NEVER. Reporting is a complete waste of time, even on PC, where ban waves are a token, and ineffectual way of punishing cheats.

that is very much wrong. People don’t accept discrimination in greater society, why do we accept it so easily in a game?

You’re saying banwaves are only on PC? I can see how that would be so actually, as there’s likely detectable software involved.

Is save wizard a console restore hack then?

Yes. ONLY on PC. Why do you think homerjnick is disgusted so much about it? I’m far more vocal than he is though, I don’t hold back my punches. Being nice [to Blizzard] gets you nowhere. As soon as enough console players start to have that thought actually dawn on them, things will change. Until then, Blizzard will continue to ignore us and treat us like horse manure.

save wizard is PS4 only. I’ve heard rumours that there’s botting software for XBOX, but haven’t seen any proof to validate those rumours. those using save wizard start at p1000 and lvl 70 instantly upon season start, and have infinite mats. That makes using the primal reforge exploit very easy. Don’t have to waste time farming mats.

The modded gear has nothing to do with save wizard - that’s a whole different kettle of Blizzard incompetence right there.

I’m sorry, but I’m not gullible - people don’t end up with 8 or 9 primals on day 3 of season. I don’t really care about “proof” because the odds of it happening are like 20 million to one. We don’t see it happening on the PC version of the game, and anyone who has 9 primals after 3 days on PS4 is cheating. 100000000000000000% guaranteed. homerjnick and others may give them the benefit of doubt, I refuse to do so. Cheats hiding by benefit of doubt are still cheats. A jury in a court of law works on beyond reasonable doubt - and would no doubt find them guilty in these instances (well, an untainted jury would).

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, shags like a duck, quacks like a duck and craps like a duck, then it is a duck.

Thanks for explaining. Given it’s fairly accepted to be so rampant, I think it’s fair game to call it out on the broad scale.

It’s interesting they’ve implemented a solution on PC while not on console. I wonder if that’s because it’s more rampant there… you know, like bang for buck. Not justifying neglect of console, just trying to understand their logic. Maybe also that it relies on resourcing from partners (microsoft/sony) and thus falls in the little bit harder to make happen basket.

For starters any company has the right to do what they want and don’t want to their product so get over it.

Just because u dont get ur way doesn’t mean it’s discrimination. Sounds like u use to get ur way as child, welcome to the real world.

Try PoE if u want a SSF board. U probably will struggle the first couple Seasons but once u understand the game mechanics and boss mechanics… But expect to die alot at first.

Also is it considered cheating I use a 2nd controller and always have a 2nd player following around when I’m not grouping lmao. Preferably a barb for the war cry/impunity since I usually roll monk hjahahajaj

Sure they do. And I have the right to criticise them, so telling me to get over it is kind of rude eh?

Anyway, on your bike mate.

Ehhhh… Fair enough. And i dont ride bikes i chuck beer bottes at pedestrians from the back of my limo hahhahaha lol

Do you find it better to leave it behind when pushing and/or that you can push higher GR without out? Still early in development of the gear for the Barb so I’m sure I’ll push it’s toughness quite a bit more. Seems to work pretty well for speeds.

gave me a good chuckle!

Not one person has been banned or has any leaderboard been adjusted on Console.

The Switch version as we know has modded gear in Seasons since the game released and Blizzard have never adjusted those leaderboards so I am 99% sure the offenders in S22 on XB1 and PS4 who managed to sneak in modded gear via the start > stop > start bit of S22 will also not be removed from the Console leaderboards.

That said if they were going to remove them they wouldn’t do it during Season given the offenders could simply just redo the GR’s. Any removal will be done at the end of Season.

I will most likely do my video on the Leaderboards at the end of the season and will adjust for these cheaters and will remove them.

As for a few other points I’ve only seen a PSN account banned when a guy was broadcasting giving out modded gear on PS4 and was charging for it.

Also, botting on PS4 or XB1 is technically possible but not by installing a botting appilcation on the console rather by using the Remote Play feature both consoles have where you can run the PS$/XB1 app on Windows that allows you to connect to your console and play as long as you connect a controller.

I’ve used this a few times when working away from home where I can use my laptop in a hotel to connect to my PS4 at home using the Sony PS4 Remote Play application and play on my laptop…effectively all it is doing is streaming your PS4 to your laptop…latency of controls is not bad.

So technically a bot program could be made but would have to rely 100% on screen recognition to identify what things are etc…and there are none such botting apps developed yet.

Botting apps that run on PS4/XB1 lke PC botting are not possible given the PS4 jailbreaks are not up to latest firmware yet (7.02 being the latest…check out Modded Warfare YouTube channel for up to date info on that) and you need the latest with the last patch to go online where Seasons are. XB1 does not have any jailbreaks yet AFAIK.

Nice outline there. And go Microsoft for maintaining a secure platform.

Interesting the streaming option and cool how you can play away from home. I expect there’s a door open to rudimentary automation there for some activities, but unlikely navigating maps with how d3 is designed, unless as you say screen recognition… but that sounds like it would be pretty clunky. Suspect not anything that would materially affect leaderboards.

I dont solo push with it… just when im doing like 3 minute GRs. I cast war cry/impunity for the 20% resist /armor for the extra toughness and the little bit of extra exp. In the past i use to equip gear, would keep my 2nd controlller on my lap and try to avoid explosions to stay alive, now i just revive if i need a shout.

That’s about what I’ve found it useful for too in terms of GR levels. Its accessible for me on a side table so can get a bit of utility out of here and there.

Star of Azkaranth eliminates some of the more frequent explosion dodging if it can fit.
