I mean, the BEST way to ensure NOBODY can cheat, is to force kernel-level anti-cheats to be activated in real time for the entire duration your computer is turned on (or console, I suppose) while also submitting to random live checks from blizzard to ensure compliance, while everything is ENTIRELY server side and you have NO “non-OS-essential” programs at ALL running while Bnet’s running, AND a COMPLETE zero tolerance policy where if you get caught violating ANYTHING - even if it’s just a web browser window, or your RGB lighting software running- you are PERMANENTLY banned, REAL-LIFE credential wise (like they LITERALLY ban you based on your social security number or whatnot), FOREVER, from ALL Blizzard products, which will be enforced at INTER-GOVERNMENT LEVEL (meaning, even if you relocate out of your country, the ban FOLLOWS YOU).
THAT will permanently stop ALL cheats, period. 100%.
Failing that, though, we should probably recognize that while our goals are mutual, our methods vary. Some of us are rather more concerned with our privacy and autonomy than we are maintaining integrity of a leaderboard. So we may not be down for the full-on, 1984-esque solution (even if it WOULD be guaranteed to work).
