Sometime when walking around map, the character would teleport back as if I just had a significant lag on my internet. Maybe it is, but also could be a bug, just reporting in case.
I have a friend who is playing who had the same issue on two characters he created.
This is called desync, and is just a part of the original game when playing it online. This may not be able to be fixed, since it’s literally the old game running in the background.
If release has offline singleplayer it shouldn’t affect it there.
You can see if you have a lagspike by typing: /fps
Then you’ll see the ms which should jump up.
Hopefully it wont be fix for a true hammerdin experience
commonly known as “rubber-banding”. Happens when your game is having issues communicating effectively with the servers, so expect to see it during these beta tests and for a week after launch. When the servers are overloaded with players, it can cause connection issues. And companies don’t set up enough servers to be perfect at peak load, because that happens so rarely it would be a big waste of money. Try playing fortnite, you can have a gigabit connection and still get tons of AWFUL rubberbanding. Like trying to run and it keeps pulling you back to exact same spot for 5-20 seconds straight.
Could also be server lag rubber banding. Happened to me a few times.
Rubber banding from server lag. Blizzard is trying to replicate internet back in the 2000s as well . This better be fixed for the 23th Sep release or this be my last ever game from Blizzard.
Yes, this is part of the original game with an outdated client/server infrastructure from early 2000. I was hoping that they would have worked on it using new technologies but unfortunately no, it’s still the good old one with rubber banding and terrible lag.
You can sometimes hit a monster several times before the server actually registers the hit. This technology is 20 years old now and should have been updated. The new client with 3D graphics, great lights, and many other improvements is very nice (except for crashes) but the online experience really suffers from this old architecture and is kind of a disappointment.
