I’ll apologize for not looking this up ahead of time. My question is simple. What are the Chantodo’s stacks WHILE you are in Archon mode? Do they mean anything, or do anything at all?
I know that before you go into Archon you want to max the number out at 20. But after you are in Archon I see the number go as high as 6. Is it just meaning less stacks you have to build once you exit Archon, or does that reset immediately as well.

The chantodo stacks you see are stacks you’ve gained for your next archon transformation. So in short, yes, you’d have less stacks to build after your current archon form ends. Also, you won’t have to worry about them disappearing when your archon form expires.

I’m curious how those stacks form…is it from Gogok, or Obsidian or what. Just curious…even though its not important…how high can they go while you’re in Archon?
They actually form when you’re attacking, for example with arcane torrents, while activating the archon’s transformation at the same time. Just about any leftover arcane torrents still hitting your enemies will add to the Chantodo stacks for your next transformation. As for how high they can go, I don’t really know, however I’ve gotten up to 8 before.

It’s from Arcane Torrent missiles you still had in the air before you transformed. Your Chantodo’s stacks are consumed when you enter Archon, and it resets to 1. Then your few Arcane Torrent missiles continue to hit, and you start to stack up from 1 until they are all gone.
5-7 is pretty normal.
With a Missile Dampening elite, you can actually get all the way back up to 20! It slows down the Static Discharge side bolts, they build up and continue hitting for long after you pop Archon. If you channel for long enough in the bubble before you enter, and the elite doesn’t die too quickly after you pop Archon, you’ll get all the way back to 20.
