Change season character

Blockquote At diablo.fandom it says, “In addition, the set that the player will receive will depend on the Class of the character they’re playing when they open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, players will need to open all three on the same character.

I’ve look all over the Internet for clarification on this.

If I start the season with a DH I like in early game but want the rewards for a Necro the above essentially says that I can earn all the rewards, but NOT open any of them. When I have them all I can bring in the Necro to open them and get Necro gear.

Anyone know about this? I’d love to know for sure.

The items dropped from the Haedrig’s Gifts are determined by the class that opens them. On several seasons I’ve personally managed to save one gift for another class. The gifts were indeed earned by class A but when opened by class B they yielded items for the latter.

So yes, you can earn the gifts with one class to gear another.

Yes, you can do that. Just do not open the rewards on your DH.

If you split time between hc and sc, whichever mode you finish the 4 chapters on, that is the only mode you can get the bags on. For instance, if you do the 4 chapters on sc, then switch to a hc character to collect the bags, it won’t work.

This is an incredibly important point. If you want to claim the bags on HC, but do the objectives on SC, what you should do is do everything on SC, but leave an easy objective incomplete for HC to do. That way when the HC character does the objective, HC mode gets the full credit and you get the bag in HC mode.

It takes some planning, but trust me, this is the best way to get the gifts on HC with the least risk.

AMAZING!! I hadn’t even thought about sc (soft core) vs hc (hard core). Thank you all so much. I do hc in regular, but never thought about doing it in season. Now it’s a thinkable option.
