I am playing season 28, my next offering for Alter of Rites is a prize from Edira Challenge Rift Cache befitting your accomplishment.
I go to game setting, clicked on Challenge Rift, I get this msg No Challenge Rift Data available.
I cannot complete Alters and Rites without it.
This msg. appears in every of my games, including my season 27 games,
Buy the bag of fortune from Djank, there is a Challenge Rift Cache in there.
There is? I got a few bags from him, don’t see any challenge Rift.
Are you playing seasonal?
You should get one via the Bag of Fortune.
I am playin season 28
In this bag very much different items. Collect all that dropped.
There is never an actual Challenge Rift available in PTR’s.
Like others said it’s in the Fortune cache you buy from Djank.
I heard the challenge rift is going to be close Friday. It will open up on the Monday. If this is true I’m going to wait till Monday to start the new season.
Season start friday, you got the same weeks monday cache to use. Then play over the weekend until the new one arrives monday
Ok went back watch the video again. My Mistake yes you can use the the cache from Friday. But if you use it then you can’t finish the Altar. You need to save that cache to finish it.
The big thing here which route do you take? Do you pick the pools of refection or the no level requirements.
In my case I have three accounts. I use one to level up one of them using the cache. The other two I save the cache to finish the Altar.
The other thing is this Altar just season theme or it going to stay when the season ends?
I plan on playing the season for a extended period of time (unless drastic changes are made before it goes live) so I don’t mind using the cache immediately.
(I wont mention it here but Raxx just put up a promising video on how you could start this season).
It doesn’t really matter, you can get all 3 potion powers without cache and by the time the next challenge rift is open on Monday 3 days later and you can still work toward Staff of Herding and climbing GR’s to have all the bloodshard, key, mat requirements.
If someone really gets all the requirements, including all those rare drops (don’t forget Set dungeon farming if they keep that in, really hope they don’t) within the first 3 days well then I guess that would be an issue but you’re talking about not even 1%, likely 0.5%ers at that point, it’s a lot of stuff and a lot of RNG…not just blasting GRs.
Someone made a level video for season 28. You can’t complete the altar before monday anyway. It requires farming some items anyway. And the advantage of the cache can be huge. Tied with you got materials to equip your character with lvl 70 items.
Seasons always start on Friday, so:
- The Monday before the Season starts DO NOT run the Challenge Rift.
- When the Season starts, create a new Seasonal Character or Rebirth a non-Season Character.
- Then, run Monday’s Challenge Rift and use it to Train the Blacksmith and unlock some Seals. (Or whatever you need to do).
- From Friday to the next Monday, just 3 days later, work on the Altar of Rites and your Season Journey.
- When it’s Monday again, around 2 PM PST, you can run the new Challenge Rift and save that Cache for the Altar of Rites.
Good luck and good hunting!
It’s as if some players just want to blast through everything in the first weekend. Because the world will come to an end if they need to wait 3 days to get the second cash on the next Monday. How will they ever survive.
And here I am hoping that Season 28 lasts 6 months like Season 27, because I’ll need that much time to finish the Altar and the Season… on just one Region. ![]()
Thanks for the tip, but been here from day 1 and have 3 accounts. LOL
The other thing is this Altar going to be here to stay or just seasonal thing. Is it really a waste of time if it is only a seasonal thing.
What do you really gain from it, other than at the end on getting 2 Primals. I’m not really into the Paragon & Leader-board thing.
I’m only guessing here, but I would think the Altar is Season only. The new Cube Recipe will be permanent.
(I still hope Blizzard changes the name of crafted Primal items to Primordial items or Crafted Primal items, though).
@Perusoe
I was looking at your Profile. What chance that somebody else would have a DH Character Name Zoey too. I watch Firefly that is how I got the name. But her name is really just Zoe.
Trivia
I didn’t get invited to the D3 Beta, but some friends of mine in a Gaming Community I’m a member of did. Reading about their experiences inspired me to begin planning my first Character: A Demon Hunter named Zoey.
I started posting about her in September of 2011. Since then, we’ve had hardware and software changes to our website, so many of the links are broken and the posts aren’t formatted properly, but the information is still there. (Back then, I went by Justin Darkwater. Since my YouTube Channel is Perusoe, I had the Moderators rename my Basin forum handle to that as well).
When D3 was launched I purchased the game and began playing. Coincidentally, some years later Blizzard added Zoey’s Secret. ![]()
