For the past few weeks I haven’t been able to collect a rewards cache on my season 28 character, which means I can’t upgrade my alter anymore. I’m on switch, have tried reloading/restarting/redoing challenge, get a green check but still no cache. I’ve checked my other past characters and no caches on them left unopened. Is there a fix or some way to get past this?

There doesn’t appear to be.
Despite how many times I see this on bug reports or people bringing up the issue, Blizzard doesn’t care and peoples advice is just “You did something wrong.”
If you’ve gotten this fixed since, let me know. I can’t get past this step in altar progression myself.
