For the last (3) days my brother and I have both been dealing with this issue constantly. We always log out correctly (escaping back to main lobby, joining into the chat lobby, then escaping to character select, escaping to main menu and then escaping out of the game) and yet still we somehow get this EVERY TIME! It doesn’t matter how long we are offline for (I slept for 9 hours and woke up and instantly had this issue) My brother was offline for about (5) hours today and immediately upon trying to open the game, he gets this error. I reinstalled and it did not do anything at all but waste my time…The “hotfixes” for this are as old as the game itself and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. In light of the announcement of the release of D2:R is there anything NEW that can be recommended aside from the thousands of blizz posts that say “wait an hour and if that doesn’t work wait 24 hours” because that is some next level epic BLLSHT to tell your customers when they’re experiencing an issue…Like for real, this is annoying…because now, anytime I need to change accounts for an Xfer or to use a different character, I have to worry about whether or not I’m going to get this stupid error because BLIZZARD HAS NEVER IN THE 20 YEARS OF DIABLO 2, MANAGED TO FIND A WAY TO FIX THIS ERROR…Pathetic.
