Hi,
does anyone can tell me the exact Captain Crimson’s Trimmings 1% of Cooldown Reduction to DMG %? For some reason, while checking my stuff on d3planner I realized it is MUCH more beneficial to put 10% CDR (instead of OnHit healing) on my Yang’s Recurve Bow instead of maxing Discipline - I was missing 2 point which is, due to UE set, 2x 350% = 700% Damage Increase for Multishot. D3Planner told me (in Multishot DPS chart) that this 10% CDR bonus is 2x bonus from those 2 Discipline points.
Exact numbers for Multishot DPS from D3Planner:
- 589,832,076,698 - 10 Discipline, no CDR
- 613,041,651,399 - 12 Discipline, no CDR
- 630,507,806,814 - 10 Discipline, 10% CDR
I have no idea how this is calculated but look like 1% CDR is ~200% DMG based on this
Assume you already have full disc on other gears, 2 extra disciplines means 84 vs 86
i.e. 86/84 = 1.024 = dmg inc. by 2.4%
How good is 10%CDR depends on how many CDR you already have.
CDR is multiplicative. The formula is 1-PRODUCT(1-CDR[i])
e.g. CC 20%, other gears 37%
Total CDR is 1-((1-20%)x(1-37%)) = 49.6%
With extra 10%, the total becomes 1-((1-20%)x(1-37%)x(1-10%)) = 54.64%
i.e. CC’S dmg multipliers are 1.496 and 1.5464 respectively.
The ratio is 1.5464/1.496 = 1.03369 = dmg inc. by 3.4%
In case you don’t have any CDR at all, just CC 20%
Then adding 10%CDR, total CDR becomes 28% (not 30%)
The diff is 1.28/1.2 = 1.067 = dmg inc. by 6.7%.
If you are talking about your Yang on your seasonal DH, I’d roll the element damage; it may give 5-7% dmg inc.
You seem pretty knowledgeable. Google is not telling me this answer: does barb relentless passive grant resource cost reduction? The wording of it confuses me, and cant find on the character sheet.
Thank you.
Hi WorkSuxlKnow,
I learn many things from others on the forum. I also use d3planner.com
to verify my math.
I’m not expert of barb, but I check on d3planner and in game. The passive has the condition “while below 35% life”, therefore normally the RCR on the sheet don’t include the bonus from the passive. When the life drops below 35%, the bonus adds to the sheet.
I believe CC3 bonus is based on the number on the sheet. You shall get extra damage reduction when life drops below 35%. But if your life is above 35%, CC3 won’t give extra damage reduction.
Total RCR is calculated using the same formula of CDR. (see above)
I can’t verify the above statement. Hope someone will correct me if I’m wrong.
I did not find rcr on the sheet, but i was drinking last night, will check tonight.
It is at the lower part of the sheet.
Best way to play D3. But Mask’s spot on with the maths.
Haha no doubt. For what its worth in case anyone was wondering, relentless does add rcr to the character sheet under 35 % health.
