Hello all - I am BRAND NEW to Diablo 3 and starting playing campaign mode on Switch.
I followed the advice of all Diablo III forums and created a “seasonal” hero. When I attempted to continue where I left off in Act 1 it says “You cannot start a seasonal game while local players have a non-seasonal hero selected”. What does this mean and how do I simply get back to the game where I left off?
I just want to play the game normally and continue advancing the story, leveling my character, etc. from where I left off. But I cannot for the life of me get the game to start again. Is this normally how it works for a “seasonal” character? The game just ends at the end of the season and you can’t play the campaign anymore from where you left off?
Note I tried going into game settings and choosing campaign from there it just kicks me back to the same menu screen right back to where I started. Very confusing game!
Thanks

Same issue. It’s a bug because of their premature shutdown of season 33. I will go one step further though, and any seasonal character I have/or create, cannot be used due to this bug. I can’t rebirth any character to be a new seasonal character, I can’t do anything outside of playing on non-seasonal. very frustrating. hope they fix it soon

So we just can’t play?
Why did the season end prematurely?
I’m having the exact same issue you described. Unfortunate
My diablo 3 season 33 characters are unplayable. I play on a nintendo switch. I can’t make a new character for the season either. I really enjoyed playing seasons since it was my first time back to playing d3 in many years. It sucks to have it end this way. To make it worse, not even being able to make a new seasonal character.
So pretty much battle nets “fix” is to refer to this forum so like minded people can complain about the same thing. Has anyone besides me reached out to them on what they are actually doing to fix the problem itself? Or are they chalking it up to… “oh this only affects very few players and not the many so we will keeps things as they are.”
So pretty frustrating as it is, our fate is to not be able to play the season…at least on the switch. I just have the hope that battlenet doesnt have the too big to fail mentallity
They didn’t fix anything. They just told me to make a post. They said Hopefully the devs would see enough people with this issue that they would fix it. Im assuming if its only a few people they don’t care.
Unfortunately, console players will have to wait for Season to actually end on the 19th.
Everything should be back to normal on the 24th when Season 34 starts. Knocks wood.
