Cant open due to error: F5DEACA7-0F7B-4C11-B702-E85B6B5E8063

All I want is for a Blizz rep to say something on these posts. I don’t expect immediate fix, but I expect prompt acknowledgement and feedback. We paid for this game! We disserve some better communication!

they posted in the thread in the beta tech support

here’s what they said:

Hey everyone,

Thank you all for taking the time to report this. We are actively investigating a potential root cause of these errors on launch. We’ve found that many users reporting this error do not meet the System Requirements for Diablo II: Resurrected .

As we continue to investigate, here are some recommendations that may help:

  • Make sure Windows 10 is fully updated along with graphic drivers. If you have two graphics processors (onboard and discrete), be sure that both have the most recent driver installed.

Driver Downloads

  • Make sure the game is using the primary GPU.
  • Try playing with the system in Selective Startup mode. If the game launches with all background programs disabled, check to see if you have any “Nahamic” software installed, and remove it if present. We have found the “Nahamic” voice/sound software as the direct cause in some cases.

If the above measures have no impact, please reply with your system’s “DxDiag” report. Here are the instructions:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the DXDiag. It’ll look like this:

So…I made the Beta TS thread. People gave suggestions.

I disabled onboard video at someone’s suggestion. All I got was a black screen. It SHOULD have been using my GTX 970. Panic.

I was stopped before resetting CMOS.

Traced all the connections.

I am stupid. So if you are given a hand me down with franken parts that you did not build - make SURE you plugged your new monitor into the HDMI port on the good vid card, and not the mobo.

So yeah, now that I am using the right monitor port for my GTX 970 I have video again (and re-enabled onboard)

AND the game works.

My issue was my own lack of knowledge about the computer I was given. I get that I was not familiar with it but that is still my fault.

I found a way past the instantly closes. Go to D2R file location and open game from there. It worked for me. Also if you get the black screen just wait a sec it should switch to the game. if not try again.

I upgraded Windows 7 to 10 and now it works…

I disabled my graphics card and it works, but now its so glitchy and awful it crashes because my CPU graphics can’t handle it…

Same problem here!
Crash Crash Crash!

I upgraded to Windows 10 (Minimum requirement) from Windows 8.1 and it works now.

same… I thought I had a decent laptop… god damn, I guess I haven’t “gamed” in a while. Sucks.

Glad you were able to get on! Still, how come you have had no problems until diablo 2 res? Why are people having to run the game through the explorer folder and not via the launcher. I still think there are problems with this launch and a lot of people still cannot get in who are running high intensive games under the same parameters.

Where is this thread? So i can post mt dxdiag

I think that this is extremely disappointing I think they are making these requirements for streaming purposes. They do not want their game displayed on lower graphic settings. For God’s sake I can’t even edit the settings to lower them… The game works when I turn my graphics card OFF, witch make absolutely NO sense. My graphics card should be able to run this game, maybe not on the highest settings, yet they’ve completely blocked anything but the minimum specs… Very disappointed with this beta launch and the fact that they can’t support players with lower end PC’s (witch mine should not be, maybe my graphics card, but EVERYTHING else on my pc is above recommended specs…)

Edit: I can play Witcher III on the lower settings with no problems. They shouldn’t be blocking lower than minimum PC set ups…

I tried that it does not work.

Have you guys tried this?

Go to your installation folder and create a new text file and name it “Launch In Windowed.bat”. Make sure you have extensions showing in Windows so that it changes the file type to a batch file. Once that’s done, right click and edit the batch file and type:

“Game.exe -w”, without quotes.

This will force the game to launch in windowed mode, which seems to get by the crash. Once you’ve launched the game, you can hit “alt+Enter” to go back to full screen.

Вам нужно запустить его в windows 10

i tried but it doesn’t help. The game still crashes no matter where i start it.
cmd: game folder\game.exe -w
create short cut, edit property, “game folder\game” -w
battle.net launcher, click play
battle.net launcher, game setting, add -w, click play
run game as admin

windows 10 updated
motherboard drivers, display driver updated

what else i can do ?

Thanks for the suggestion - didn’t work for me though unfortunately :frowning:

They asked what I was doing when this error occurred…

I…pushed…Play…

How do you do that? I started it using the Windows 10 installer, and it just threw me back after 70% saying “unable to upgrade”…

I love 8.1 it’s my favorite.
