As far as I know this is and never will be possible, can someone confirm this?
A bit of a shame, really. I mean, I have the same stash whether I am on PS4 or PC, but I can’t seem to use character made on PC in PS4 couch co-op.
Not that important, but would be nice to use a level 6-7 necro from my current PC playthrough along with my wife’s level 6-7 crusader, rather the wizard created on PS4.
But if it can’t be done it can’t be done.
PC and consoles are completely separate platforms for D3 and that’s a bloody good thing considering the consoles are an utter cheat fest.
So no, there is no crossprogression in D3 between plaforms.
I like that D3 kept them separated.
That which shall not be spoken has them cross-integrated, and it is problematic in many ways.
Why? Can’t say I ever had issues with that in any of the games I’ve played that supported it.
Crossplay and -progression are fine if implemented correctly.
In the case of D3 the issue is that on consoles the saves are stored locally, not on Blizzard’s servers. This leaves them fully exposed to direct modification. Had the console versions had the same requirements the PC version, meaning saves stored on Blizzard’s servers and 100% online requirement to play, there would be zero cheating on consoles and implementing crossplay and -progression would have one major issue less. The other gameplay mechanics would need to be modified to match PC version too.
