Can't get into the game

Error: when I click play button it shows “Diablo 3 was unable to find either your .build.info file or your Data folder”
I have already tried all the way from other report but still can’t get into.
Please help me.

Have you checked to see if they are even in your D3 installation folder?

I install all my games on a separate drive. My D:\ drive. So, my D3 installation location is: D:\Diablo III. Inside that (root) folder is both, the .build.info file and the Data folder.

If you do not find that file and folder, run the App. Check the App Settings for D3 and make sure it still shows your correct installation location. Then, try using the App’s Scan and Repair option for D3.

If that doesn’t work, run the App and uninstall Diablo III. When it finishes, the Play button should now say “Install”. Reinstall D3, check your installation folder to make sure you now have the file and folder that was missing. If you do, try clicking the Play button on the App.

Thanks for your reply, I have already checked my file and I have .build.info file and Data folder and I have scaned many times, nothing need to be repaired. I have no idea what is the problem.

have you solved the problem? I encountered the same issue. I checked and the .build.info file and Data folder exists

I has the same problem, tried to uninstall the D3 and reinstall many time but still cant find .build.info file or data folder. any one knows how to slove this issue? ty

I solved this problem by renaming the install folder to “Diablo III”, which used to be Chinese characters.
