I have had this game for many years. But I’m only now doing the campaign achievements. I’ve been through Act One several times trying to get the conversation achievements. But check marks for conversations that I know I’ve had multiple times keep disappearing and reappearing on my checklist. When I googled the problem, articles and forum posts from as far back as 2012 popped up. They described the exact same problem(s) that I’m having today in 2019. How can you not have fixed this in SEVEN YEARS!? How many hours am I expected to spend repeating the same tasks over and over because you won’t fix your game? Seriously!?! I have hundreds of items to find or listen to if I want all of the achievements. Do you know how many thousands of hours it will take to get them all if I have to repeat each of them over and over ad-nauseum until they actually count?
If those « articles and forum posts from as far back as 2012 » that you are referring to were as cryptic as your description is, I am not surprised they weren’t « fixed »… whatever that may mean.
Cryptic? A variety of the conversations that I’ve had with the mystic, shen, and hagrid have were checked off, but the next time I checked they weren’t. I restarted the game and some of them, but not all of them, came back. On another restart, they disappeared again. It’s not the same ones each time so it’s not specific to any one or two conversations or any one character. Is that too cryptic for you to understand?
The fact that you have them all is worthless to me. I’ve already wasted several hours just trying to get the ones in act I. Just because you haven’t encountered this problem doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. If you don’t have something constructive to share don’t waste my time.
Look at this as a good lesson to teach your kids. Achievements are a waste of time that steal your time so you don’t do better things or play more games. After all, they all eventually disappear leaving you with nothing tangible for all of your effort.
If I could get Steam to turn off all achievements for my kids I would. It is the one of the few things I appreciate about Nintendo.
…not bad!!!
You just revived a 5 year old post…
Well, there definitely should be an “auto-close” for posts no one responded to in, lets say, 6 month (maximum)…
