Hi recently new returning player and never completed a season before… i have most done (or knows what needs to be done) but I can’t seem to find the Greed goblin due to RNG. I have however, a puzzle ring and am wondering if the kanai’s cube portal trick will suffice for the quest? Don’t wanna waste materials if necessary… thank you!
Yes. The portal opened by puzzle ring counts. Make sure you do it in correct diff lvl.

It certainly will if you do it at Torment 13 or higher. This far into the season just shout out in General Chat and ask for help with a Vault run at Torment 16. Lots of people like free gold / loot so you should get three willing helpers pretty much immediately.
I could be wrong but doesnt the conquest say you have to get the gold streak outside of greeds realm?

A puzzle is the same as finding a portal so putting
a ring into the cube is the same as finding a random gob.
Correct me if I’m wrong OP, but I believe they’re referring to the season journey Conqueror objective ‘Money Ain’t a Thang’, not the Avarice/Avaritia conquest (which is not one of the conquests this season if I recall correctly)

Correct.
The Conqueror Chapter Objective (not Conquest) is simply to kill Greed on T13 or higher. How you get to her is irrelevant: Either by killing a Goblin that opens a Portal to The Vault or by transmuting a Puzzle Ring in Kanai’s Cube.
Either way works just fine.
You may be thinking about the conquest Avarice, which sadly isn’t an option this season.
