Cache and never ending questions replace

The only reason a particular SD would seem easier is because some have more of the named mobs than other, thereby increasing your chances of getting the drop.

Never the less, this is not going to be a boreing seson for shure.

No kidding. I love it.

Not sure it is based only on RNG tho. I have run Marauders hundreds of times now and not seen any of the pages drop. I ran UE 3 times and got one. I suspect that some of the dungeons were not setup the same as others.

One important thing here is if you have the power that auto pick-up salvages white/blue/yellow, you will want to turn the pet off. (not sure if pets will salvage the pages instantly, but wouldn’t want to risk it.)

What you mean? Never Ending Questions drop no need you complete nothing in Set Dungeon, is only enter and kil the Uniques with Purple name over and over again until one gives it to you, reset until the Unique monster drop the page, i try right now in Dungeon of Tal Rasha and only need 2 minutes to drop, is very easy to farm Never Ending Questions…

If you are asking for those kind of things your not getting the tree maxed out within 5 days… So it doesnt affect you. Those things are fine tbh & please make d3 more grindy instead of the rain of loot & rewards… seems people want everything to be handed over without doing anything… Its Diablo for god sake

Probably more a sign that most players don’t spend much time in set dungeons. I’m confident that after this season, 99% of the playerbase will have seen the page.

As others have said, you don’t need to succeed at the set dungeon for this to drop. You just need to kill elites and one will drop it eventually. Most players will drop it in under 10min and wonder why they complained here about it.

The real issue with the challenge rift cache is not the difficulty of obtaining one, or how fun challenge rifts are, but rather the fact that it is incredibly stupid to include something in the season theme that has nothing at all to do with the season.

Also, and I guarantee this is going to happen to some folks, it is very easy to accidentally use your cache. You leave the season to do the challenge rift. You hop back on your season toon and grab the cache from your mail. And then, without thinking–because you’ve never needed to before–you right click it and dump the contents. Then you yell a swear word as loud as you can, because you’re stuck waiting an entire freaking week to get another one.

It absolutely needs to be swapped for something else. It’s just too stupid.

Yeah, they should swap it with Wirt’s Original Leg.

I mean, it’s better most don’t complete the altar due to the rarest transmog in the game than doing something stupid, right?

Season starts on friday and the challenge rift resets on monday.

Full marks for sarcasm. My opinion remains unchanged, though you are right, it could be something worse.

I wanted them to hold true to the stated theme. But there is nothing on the list, especially not the CR cache, that really fits with this:

you’ll find yourself rummaging across Sanctuary slaying scores of demons hellbent on preventing you from acquiring the Altar of Rites’ full power.

Show me one demon in the game that cares about my progress on the Altar of Rites.
Show me one thing on the list of sacrifices that only demons drop.

No me digas.

I think the same Diablo is a ARPG, that means you need explore dungeons, events, all maps and regiones of world for search rare treasures, quest objetives and more, these days people are complain for move a finger to do something to give you a reward, people not want effort a little for obtain powerful bonusses, cmon is ARPG It essence is farming….

I’m going to test the PTR for about 12 hours over the next week. That’s about how many hours I’ll play at season launch – about 4 hours a day Fri, Sat, Sun.

If during PTR, I can get to #14 in 12 hours then I won’t use the Challenge Rift cache. It it takes longer than 12 hours, I’ll use my Challenge Rift Cache right away.

How does it nerf how you play the season start? Using the cache as normal isn’t any less effective than before. It just looks like it won’t be the most efficient mode this season, doesn’t make it any less effective than before.

Just don’t do the set dungeon immediately then? Get your 6 piece gift then play the rest of the game and ignore the journey until you get a six piece of another set, it doesn’t take that long with the level you can farm with a 6 piece. Unless you are someone who only plays to finish the journey or likes doing it in as few hours as possible I don’t see why one would rush it anyway since the journey activities go faster when you have a proper build done anyway. And by the time you are able to finish some of the goals you will definitely have more sets finished.

And this isn’t all that different to what barbs have to do every season with how crap all their dungeons other than IK is.

I fail to see how 3 days is “an entire week”.

That is not a week.

Season starts usually on friday 5 pm and the challenge rift resets on monday 1pm.

He’s talking about if you mess up and click your cache before using it in the altar then you have to wait a week to get another one. So let’s say, you use your cache at the beginning of the season as normal. Then intend to use the one on Monday to fulfill the altar requirement, but you mess that up. Then you’d have to wait a week to get another and hope you don’t mess up again.

He wants the game to be “idiot” proof, I think. And to that I say, he underestimates the talent of idiots to mess anything up. lol

I remember back when I was learning programming how proud I was of my first program, that took user input and gave it back to them. Oh the troubles and problems my teacher gave me by simply inputting weird symbols and characters. Even such a small program could not be idiot proofed as there would always be ways to break it.

Then maybe I wasn’t being sarcastic at all…

Wirt’s Original Leg drops from Bishibop’s Corpse in the Cave of the Fallen. Fallen Shamans are demons, so it would fit with your extremely narrow view of what would fall from demon’s that would make a worthy sacrifice.

Yeah, the Cache should be Wirt’s Original Leg, definitely!

One problem is the randomness factor. Like with cosmic wings from gifts, some get it after 20 gifts, some after a hundred, but when the chance is 1:1000 a lot will not even get it after 1000 gifts.
I’m not advocating that everything should be handed to you on a silver platter. There should just be a balance between things you can achieve with a certain amount of effort and things that are too random. (I guess this mostly relates to getting the staff of Herding).
