Bug: No New Crimson Plan drop

I am expierencing the problem that the “new” crimson recipe doenst drop.

I am paragon 550ish.

1-) Done lots of T1 & T16 bounties, recipes dont drop anymore
2-) Killed an entire goblin spam pack T16
3-) Killed lots of solo goblins at T16
4-) Done multiple T16 gold vault
5-) Done alot of T16 reguler and even g.rift 70-75’s
6-) Blacksmith is max lvl off course. I only see the old Crimson set\bonus

It look likes there are no recipes dropping…is it a bug? I really need the Crimson recipe to increase my build output.

No.
Bad results from RNG is not a bug.
I got the first two recipes in my first set of bounty caches.
I didn’t get the third recipe until my sixth set of bounty caches.
That means that there were 27 caches that didn’t have the recipes in them.

It is still strange. In other seasons you get a recipe 100% everytime you open a bag. And all the sudden for a single recipe its RNG ?

I find it very wierd.

For 17 seasons straight I never had any problems. I never had a empty bag without a recipe.

I must be rediculously lucky.

2 sets of bounties, I have found Crimson/Aughild/Cain. Found them quickly in non season after patch 2.6.6 dropped too. Didn’t think twice about it.

After reading some posts here, seems they are not a garuanteed drop, and actually semi rare.

I can confirm they do drop, in both S18 and NS.

I guess I have to do more bounties then.

I will try to lower difficulty and do speed farming in public

Unfortunately the only way to target them.

Weird if this is intended, though. All other plans generally drop until you have them all with the exception of the Sage plans which has also had reports of a similar situation in prior sessons.

Just did another T12 bounty run. Got all bags.

I am only getting the legendaries & materials. Still no crimson recipe… :frowning:

I also have not been able to get solely the crimson plans. This is probably another poor attempt for blizzard to lengthen gameplay. sigh

I’m on ps4 and got the level 30 but not the70 of crimson it took over 4 hours for me just to get that were are my level 70 crimson

No Captain Crimson plans for me either after multiple bounties and Odious collectors…this should not be this hard to obtain. There should actually be no rng involved if you have all the other plans dropped and unlocked…

I have done lots of T16 bounties and killed tons of goblins but still no new crimson recipe…

This is NOT rng. Recipe MUST drop in every bag untill there is no more. I played every season!!!

Same here. No Crimson set for me. Paragon 700, done countless bounty and goblins. This is a bug and was first introduce in 2015.

Blue post:

Crim’s was the last plan to drop for me after a while of doing bounties.

We just need to wait for blizz to fix the bug, account related?

Still no new Cap’n Crimson plan. I’m convinced the game is seeing the old plan and figuring I have it.

I was frustrated by this issue as well. 100 bounty caches and no Crimsons. That’s what worked for me:

  1. On T13 I did split bounties with my main seasonal char. Kept the caches.
  2. Created a new seasonal char
  3. Asked for a powerlevel in one of the powerleveling communities
  4. Once powerlevel’d - opened the caches with the new character (doesn’t matter what torment level you’re on - caches will still drop loot at T13 rates)
  5. Voila - Crimsons dropped right away.

Did the same but I didn’t get the plans. Obviously not normal. Sigh…

It is a bug that is not fixed for years, look here:

It’s also a great way to complete your crafting recipe collection as each cache guarantees at least two crafting recipe drops if you are missing any.

In chapter “Bountiful Bounties” it says that recipes will be present in each cache until they all dropped.

So this is definitely a bug that there is no recipe in cache, although not all have been studied yet.

No, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bug. Most crafted items, even the sets, were meant as starter gear, back before seasons gave you a free set. That was why they were guaranteed drops.

Now that some of the sets have been beefed up and can be considered end-game gear, it seems that they now behave like regular drops, with a chance of them dropping instead of a guarantee of them dropping.

So it seems that this is the intended behaviour. Of course, it would be nice if they mentioned this in a post, rather than having us all guessing.
