Buff Primal Augment

Why not allow more perks for the Primal items?

If it cannot be done with the item stat or effects why not make it so that

Primals when augmented can have double or triple amount of stats when

compared to an Ancient Legendary. Give a little fresh air for Primal Items.

Buffs, buffs, and even more buffs. When does it stop.

I dont know we would know if the game was supported like every other Blizz titles.

What you are suggesting is not fresh air but rather a steaming pile of manure. All it would add is more and more unnecessary power creep.

You make it sound like this game has any enough sustenance and life to produce manure.

You already have it. When you get a correctly rolled Primal, you have the satisfaction of knowing you do not need to farm that piece any more.

Allowing Primals to be more powerful than ancients just means Primals become mandatory rather than being icing on the cake. We need more interesting content for the game, not more boring tiers of the same gear to farm. This is why we got Primals V2 rather than Primals V1.

adding more power creep isn’t adding sustenance though…new classes, new gear, new areas to explore, new character classes, they all add “sustenance”. Power creep doesn’t.

Actually buffing the Primal Ancients is a good idea and it should have been done on day one. Even if the stats were only 25% better than the others would have been great. Make a Primal actually a Primal. But unfortunately that requires a small amount of time and effort, so why right? Primal = a maxed Legendary is lazy as all hell. Another missed opportunity.

Making primals 25% better would only have made the whole thing even worse.
Current primals are lazy though, and it would be better just to remove them.

Agreed. Primals are nothing but just another layer of unnecessary RNG. The whole item tier should’ve never been implemented.

If primals had better stats than regular ancients, they’d become mandatory for every single build. No, current iteration isn’t ideal but it’s way better than giving them better stats.

They can improve the RNG issue by giving Primals the ability to have 2 stats rerolled at the Mystic vs the usual 1.

Also, if you have a Primal, you should be able to reroll it and it STAY a primal. Getting that Primal Flavor with cruddy stats? That’s just wrong. But if you could reroll it over and over again till you got those GG stats, then it wouldn’t be so bad.

Besides the red light, red border, and max stats, they are no different than an ancient. Oh, you can zap then for 15 souls. MEH!

I agree, since Primals are in the game, make them actually worth something more than just a gen chat link. Give them at least 25% increased stats. Or allow them to have additional ‘random’ buffs or powers that will set them aside from their non-red bordered counterparts. Something. Anything.

Absolutely not. Things like these would only make them mandatory for every build and everything else below them is junk.

They already have “a purpose”. They’re sort of collectibles. But they are nothing special and should never be anything special. In fact they should not even exist.

I agree, they shouldn’t exist. Ancients are good enough. Primals are just fluff.

However, since they are in the game… why not make them ‘useful’?

They already are useful! There is not a single excuse to treat them as if they were something special.

This whole thread is a testament of communty’s sick obsession over primals.

That is because they have fluff.

The red star w/a circle on the map to indicate you found a Primal.

The red light beam when you first see it or when you put it on the ground.

The red border that surrounds the item.

It’s all fluff like many aspects of D3.

That’s why.

Same with the butterfly wings and the rainbow sword.

More fluff.

Because the game needs more powercreep as badly as it needs more bots in public games. That’s why not. Power creep is not exciting, nor a ‘little fresh air.’

Introducing Ancient items into the game was a huge mistake to start with.
Then they threatened us with more powerful Primals. Thank God they paid attention to the community push back, and nerfed them to perfect stat Ancients.
