Buff existing legendaries

When we make our characters, theres the obvious meta items everyone chooses, were like clones, no role playing to it. Please buff items like andys visage, Stash of knives, wizzy spike, thunderfury, odyn son, shard of hate and all those items that are literally (forgotten) souls. such cool x-mogs but no use, so sad. :frowning: So many potential builds, such wasted ideas.

Buff, buff, buff, that game as been so watered down over the years with all the buffs. :sunglasses:

I would rather seem them add abilities to useless items like they just did for S18. :+1:

Simply increasing the damage output is getting old. Just give us more options. :kiss:

Unfortunately the majority of the playerbase would be annoyed if they lost power due to nerfs. That’s why the only way to get more potential build diversity is to buff existing, underpowered legendaries.

Game got watered down the second they decided to start doing 500+% multipliers heh.

Now the skills that don’t benefit from those kinds of items and multipliers rarely get used.

So the players that would like to play those skills above T10 do need updates to the outdated items.

Maybe some of the new sets we heard about will address some of the underused skills.

I think it would be great if they had a panel at Blisscon that discussed in detail all the new sets and powers, as well as the other plans for D3. Even if they will be added over time. :cold_face: I sure hope that the 7 new sets are not coming out over 7 seasons. Give us the details, please. :ok_hand:

Unfortunately if Nev is announcing something, it usually means it’s already in the works, which means BlizzCon will be too late to discuss the new sets as I’m sure they’ll be mechanically defined at that point. It’ll just be a matter of to what degree their bonuses are tuned, aka how big are the multipliers.

But maybe it’s possible they could still be altered. Just highly unlikely unfortunately.

How about since they are watering down the game down to set buff multipliers, why don’t these multipliers work with the legendries? like inaurius increasing dmg inside of bone armor, why cant that also increase thunderfurys proc?

It’s funny you chose that example because Inarius’s bonus does buff Thunderfury heh.

Global Damage Multipliers benefit everything, including items like Thunderfury.

Immortal King, LoD, LoN, Natalya, Shadow (2p), Inna’s, Akkhan, Tal Rasha, Vyr, etc.

The problem with items like Thunderfury is more so that Gavel of Judgment and Bracers of the First Men only buff HOTA. So Thunderfury damage loses out on like 63x damage that Hammer of the Ancients gets in an IK HOTA build.

What do you say to everybody that will suddenly start complaining because they now have to re-farm a completely different set of BiS items to be inline with a new meta because one of the items suddenly became a requirement?

I mean, what did those people do 2 years ago when completely random items became BiS that they had to farm for there then?

I’d rather hunt for items than Paragon myself. And I’d rather have a lot of items and options for ways to play. I’d love to not instantly salvage half the items in the game.

Your loss if you don’t use those. They’re nice on Strafe LoN DH builds, especially Sash of Knives works like a discount Hellcat’s. Also Andariel can be the best helm in the game for a LoN build if it rolled the right skill bonus for its only random affix.

Can be given to Followers, preferably Templar with Wyrdward ring and supposed to be that way. I wouldn’t expect a buff on these but may be they create an Odyn Son based Barbarian build someday?

Can be given to Follower as always. Either, you can make it work with a Rimeheart, Frostburn based gimmick build.

Really have no idea about this, nor what to do about it. I realized you can not fully benefit from the 3 elementals offered at the weapon by any class. So another proc item preferably with an elemental damage boost (moonlight? hellfire ring?) is encouraged.

They need to start 7 polls to see what underused skill should be buffed each season. Give people 5 votes so their top 5 under used skills gets represented.

Even if they then work on one skill per class peer season, it’ll be something new each season to look forward to.

They have been heading the right way.

Last season we got buff to shield for cap America build plus buff for wd dart build.

This season buff to crated sets plus lon gem and the 2 new amulets .

If they keep going on alone these lines would be good

Wish more players thought this way. Instead we have “Primals” that are just glorified ‘barely better than’ Ancients that are hardly worth their rarity because the community was so afraid of making rare items good like in Vanilla. They just want to grind levels, how exciting. You know there’s a game for that called WoW, that doesn’t belong in an ARPG mentality.

I pray that D4 gets this right, because the way we’re doing it in D3 isn’t. Anyway…this kinda went off-topic rant. Yes OP, they’re working on it, yes we’ll find out more details and yes it likely will be before Blizzcon because yes if Nevalists is announcing it then they’re already have been working on it.
