+1 billion to more material trading recipes, especially for bounty materials.
always runs only needed acts than going to craft Crimsons and e.t.c
This would allow you to completely circumvent difficult bounties without even having to remake the game. Act two and three are some of the easiest ones so what purpose does it serve? If you need materials from those acts do the bounties.
I’d be more interested in converting DB’s to Reusable Parts, Arcane Dust or Veiled Crystals, now that we can get double DB’s.
Might as well convert the horadric cube into a slot machine one gold per pull.
I said I’d be more interested in it, not that I expect them to do it.
No I think you’re more the type who wants the game to be more interesting and difficult. Which would be good.
I needed a RoRG for my follower this season, so that they could emanate the Cain’s and Sage’s 3-piece bonuses. I ran Act I way more often than the rest, because I just got unlucky and the ring didn’t drop. It means I’ve got way, way more Act I materials than any of the others. A conversion recipe would let you even them out, which is much more useful for the cube’s reforge recipe.
RoRG drops in Act IV too. So now you don’t need to farm Act 1 for materials. So farm the other Acts as needed. You don’t need to even them out. I always end up with way more Infernal Machine of Regret than the others should I be able to cube those also? It’s just more convenience to avoid killing mobs. You know killing mobs? It’s a game about killing mobs.
I have had to do this multiple times, which is precisely why I have 3 times as many materials for A1.
Except.
You now have less chance of getting it on A4 as it is competing with all the other rings the bounties can drop.
Guess which act I have the second most mats for?
I too would welcome this change. How about instead of stating the obvious which is farm more of those you need, support the change for a QoL that would help. You don’t say “farm more yellow items” when we have the option to convert those? You don’t say “farm more emerald gems” when we have the option to convert those either… So why the stink over bounty mats?
Sure! Why the hell not?
Game on.
Did ya miss that part? Seriously it’s like people just want to be handed an infinite supply of perfect gear and grift keys and do nothing else.
Yeap good idea. Hope Activizard won’t read this. Or we’ll have new currency in gameshop for that machine. Currency will sale for real money ofc.
Well, none of it is infinite. You still have to farm materials at some point… LOL
Should I have added a /sarcasm to the end of that post? Though I wouldn’t mind a material convert no. I have no issue with it. Not going to ruin anything for me.
I wish to send my minipet to the market to purchase needed materials whilst I continue to battle god’s devils in his own playground.
You’re quite passionate about telling other people how to play, while simultaneously trying to make them feel bad for playing any other way.
Would you prefer if all material conversion recipes were removed, if that were an option? I am genuinely curious.
Act I caches have 5 legendaries in their loot table.
Act II caches have 4 legendaries in their loot table.
Act III caches have 7 legendaries in their loot table.
Act V caches have 5 legendaries in their loot table.
Act IV caches have the loot table of all the other acts combined, i.e. they have 21 legendaries in their loot table.
At T16, getting 3 legendaries per cache…
Act I cache…
Chance that first legendary is RoRG = 1 in 5
Chance that second legendary is RoRG = 1 in 4
Chance that third legendary is RoRG = 1 in 3
Act IV cache…
Chance that first legendary is RoRG = 1 in 21
Chance that second legendary is RoRG = 1 in 20
Chance that third legendary is RoRG = 1 in 19
Why would you pick something that, at best, gives you a 1/19 chance of the RoRG versus something, at worst, gives you a 1/5 chance of the RoRG?
Not much point in trying to explain this to them.
There was a season where I farmed A1/A4 for 2 months during the season (granted I don’t spend 10+ hours a day playing) and averaging around 4 or 5 hours a week farming those two acts (start game, clear those two bounties, do other things, repeat the next time I played), I finally got one to drop. At the end I had several hundred materials for A1 and around half that for A4.
At one point I was farming with 3 other friends just running bounties and all 3 of them would get RoRGs to drop. Me? NONE.
To this day I still have a severe lead on mats for A1.
They say a picture’s worth a thousand words so how about this one…
This is basically due to a number of seasons where a RoRG was required, so more Act I farming was done and, at the end of each season, that’s led to an ever-increasing discrepancy between Act I materials and those from the other Acts.
Currently, I have enough Forgotten Souls to do 764 reforges, but can’t do any due to lack of Bounty materials.
If there was a Cube recipe to convert from one Act’s materials to another, those materials would even out like…
(882 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 0) / 5 = 177
This would give me enough for 35 reforges.
As it stands, if I wanted to manually even these out, by running sets of Act II-V bounties, it’d take 40+ runs and if I was going to do that, it’d be quicker to just do 40 split runs and not pick up the Act I materials.
big mouth, do you even play the game with your 1800 paragon?
