I was doing some bounties on t16 and i got malthael as one of them, i hadn’t done him in a long time but i really enjoyed the fight when RoS released and the tactics of it, but i was really disapointed with the 1sec it took to kill him, granted i have very good heros now but it just felt wrong.
There are so many awesome boss fights in the game like Belial, Azmodan, Cydea, The Ram etc… that are wasted
So i decided to make another of those sugestion threads in hopes people can give feedback on it so we can make this game as good as it can/should be.
Boss Rush Mode would essencially be a kind of greater rift progression mode but with bosses and no timer, (keep in mind i thought of this using no new art or assets so the budget for it is as low as possible)
Clearing all bounties in all 5 acts is pointless as it offers no additional rewards, with boss rush clearing all 5 act bounties would award you a boss rush key.
One would then go to the nephalem obelisk in town and after introducing your boss rush key you would choose the tier you want to go in (you would be able to choose up to the higher tier you have completed so far, like grifts)
The bosses would always be in the same order, starting with skeleton king and ending with malthael, if you kill them all without dying you get loot and advance to the next tier, if you die it’s over.
There would be no timer on boss rush except their enrage which could be: after 5mins boss deals 100% more dmg, after 10mins 200% and so on, to avoid extremely tanky heros doing 3 hour fights with diablo.
That’s it, i tried to make it as simple and low budget as possible while having that challenge and revival of bosses.
