I’ve never entered a Season with it until this one. I did so this time around because Necro was OP and new I’d get a lot of paragon (I’m currently at 2000, previous high was 1300). With such high paragon, I was able to focus the majority of my skills and gear on speed and still have enough damage. I was hauling but and cleared with less than 30 seconds to spare (solo, I’m not part of a clan nor do I have friends to do it in a group.
I think solo players should have to kill half the bosses w/ the same allotted time. Now that I’ve confirmed what I believed about Boss Mode, I’ll never enter a Season with Boss Mode again, because know that I won’t complete it.
I did it both with a DH and a Necro. It’s really not that hard if you get a speed build., but if you have a hard time you can get someone to help you. He goes after the Act V bosses and invites you. You go in, he declines, goes after another boss. Rinse, repeat. Hope this is helpful.
Um - you don’t need 2k paragon to “still have enough damage”. It’s T10, everything dies from a stern look nowadays. I also did it both with dh and necro at less than 800 paragon.
All you need is speed, knowledge of the levels and a bit luck. A streak of bad luck may derail you, especially with Adria or Urzael. Start with act5, if bounty is Malthael remake game.
With two players it’s not that much faster with all the porting and joining. Probably easier doing it twice, with a runner and a fighter. If you don’t have a friend, asking in chat can work wonders.
I play solo 99% of the time, but for Boss Mode I just lurked in chat until someone was putting a group together and needed one more. It’s not one I’d want to try solo, but it’s pretty easy as a group.
Also note you don’t NEED to do boss mode to participate in or even complete the rewards for the season. There are always other conquests to pursue.
I don’t mean to sound elitist (I am extremely casual and play mostly solo) but Boss Mode is crazy easy. With the Masquerade necro, cube In-Geom and use Teeth rune. Once you proc In-Geom, just Blood Rush around to find the bosses. Your set bonus has more than enough damage to clear T10. Cube Stueart’s Greaves for the extra move speed and You shouldn’t have any trouble. Bad RNG can be a factor, but hopefully you can get Adria, Spider Queen, Urzael or some of the harder to find bosses as a bounty to help. I’d remake the game to get the right boss bounties. Also remember to NOT do Vidian, he doesn’t count towards the conquest and had a LONG path to get to him. I did it just under 600 paragon I believe, and it took that long because it took a while to get In-Geom.
You could also venture into HC and do some of the easy one in HC, just saying. A few weeks into the season there are plenty of HC players that would help gear you up and get you going. Last season I switched to HC after I completed Guardian and did 8 of 10 conquests, the only 2 I didn’t do was Sprinter and Speed Racer. I had the gear to do them, just didn’t feel like running the campaign again and possibly waste an hour or two if you just miss the time (again mostly solo and those conquests are MUCH easier in a group).
I have to disagree, I dont find Boss Mode Conquest difficult at all. It’s one of the easiest one to complete. It just comes down to having the correct gears and skills. I actually find this more difficult in groups so I usually do this Solo. If you have difficulty doing this then your probably just not using the correct speed variant of your build.
Not that I wouldnt welcome the idea of solo players having to do half boss, that would make it super duper easy for me.
Boss Mode is actually pretty easy, even solo player. I’ve done it twice in seasons. Both times less than 1,000 Paragon. You do need to get some speed items. So if you’re having horrible RNG and cannot find some speed items, I can see it being difficult I guess. But once you get your 6-piece set, T10 becomes extremely easy.
Every class has movement speed skills and items though. You just need to find those items and spam those skills.
