If D4 is to be announced this year, Blizzcon preparations should have already started, don’t they? Does someone have information about this?
I think in one of her posts Nev already gave the signal of getting ready for it. She stated with weeks left it’s barely enough or so. But that’s usual because they always start getting ready for it by May or so. You can not conclude that they are getting ready for something big from here.
They start Prep almost a week after the current Con ends. It is vastly underestimated how much goes into putting together an event of this size.
Maybe the actual staff starts 4-5 months prior, but they will also have outsourced crews, planners, etc… that will begin instantly, it is their job to choreograph.
They better have something to show after last years disaster
Why? Last year we knew about the devices section thus a reveal was obvious. If we know the floor map or how many people are working atm for the preparations, this is a big tell.
Dont’ buy… period…
No. Stop trying to get the hype train started.
There are still people willing to go? Good one.
I also hope so.They let all of us real diablo fan really down with that bullsh*t diablo 3,they totally destroyed the franchise. They need to comeback with a real diablo game.We want darkness, macabre stuff and blood.None of that cartoonish diablo 3 garbage.
I am pretty sure that we want it to be a first person shooter/MMORPG hybrid with more Whimsy maps.
Hype train never finished. It’s moving since 2017 rofl.
Well, Quin69 was invited to Blizzcon (which could be a sign that something big would come), though he said he will not be going this year and would attend a similar GGG PoE event.
On the other hand, Nev said it would blog about the future of Diablo.
Future will tell
Didn’t you see the whole “Don’t you guys have phones” thing last year? That pretty much stopped it dead in its tracks.
It takes that long to say “Nothing to see here, move along.”?
Prepare to be disappointed
They better check in with the “geniuses” who thought hyping up last year’s BlizzCon only to then deliver a mobile game no one asked for that whatever they have planned this year is still a good idea.
Are they still living in a bubble? Do they recognize what an absolute disaster last year was?
So many resources at their disposal yet none of them foresaw how badly Diablo Immortal was received.
I still believe they are making D4. The hype train is not dead for me. The question now is are they going to announce D4 this year or not?
Lol by preparations you mean another crappy vid hyping Blizzcon to sell as many tickets as possible.
Fool me once, shame on you…you ain’t gonna fool me twice, chump.
I mean have the people who actually bring, move, decorate etc the actual physical objects/space where Blizzcon is located started working already? If so, what is their number compared to previous Blizzcons? Do we have more space/stages/floors this year?
Stuff like this can give us clues whether a major announcement is coming this year, be it D4 or OW2.
Clues do not indicate anything, were you even around last year?
- The Forges are Burning Hot, but nothing for PC.
- All of the Job postings, but nothing for PC.
- Diablo was on the main stage, but nothing for PC.
- The secret demo area on the floor map, but nothing for PC.
- The PC base took time off work to go to BlizzCon, but nothing for PC.
I fell for it hook, line, and sinker last year, never again. Live and learn.
