But, Torchlight is not good.

Torchlight… Hmm I think I got it somewhere on steam this summer sale… But it kinda looks like if disney would make an action rpg…
Played Torchligt 1-2 quite abit, was fun in short sessions, to cartony for my taste.

Well, I play for the gameplay. But if you care about the style, then yes, it could be too cartoony for some.
They advertise the game as not-Immortal, which doesn’t mean it’s any good.

It’s not immortal it’s infinite!!!
I will definitely give this a chance, I have completed TL2 several times but never managed to get hooked even though it’s not a bad game.
Sidenote, when hearing the soundtrack of TL1+2, I always think that Matt Uelmen should have stayed with Diablo, it’s like his soul disappeared, everything sounds like a cheap rehash from the Diablo games.
Now you know how D2 fans felt like about D3
. So it has a unique art style. Who cares if it’s good fun?

If you play for gameplay then i would avoid TLI. Unless significant changes have been made after the last mobile beta, nothing was really done after the first, the gsme feels bad to play. TL has always been a fun little diversion, nothing deep, and no real reason to replay. Their mobile offering is by far worse than TL3, which was a travesty.

Except D3 was fun to play.

I enjoyed 1 and 2. 3 was awful, and the mobile betas for Infinite left me soured on the IP. It may be a better experience on PC though, although DI felt great on mobile, TI never did to me.
I guess we’ll wait and see. It will be F2P so anyone can try it out and form an opinion!
So far from videos and stuff, I liked It!!!

Which is funny, because it was made by core creators of Diablo. The Schaefer brothers - who were founders of Condor (became Blizz North) and worked on the artwork and such for D2.
Torchlight was sort of fun, but did not hold my interest like the Diablo series did. I played TL3 Beta but was not into it enough to buy the game.
I don’t have a device to play mobile games so probably won’t be trying TL:I. Not unless it comes to PC.
It looks good definitely, classes seemed interesting. It just felt bad to play during both tests.
It will come out for PC in october, with cross progression like DI. So get ready!
We shall see.
devs from the earlier Torchlight games, Diablo and Path Of Exile are involved in creating Torchlight Infinite.
There’s an in-game marketplace that’ll allow players to trade looted items among themselves
That is…interesting. Wonder how they are going to keep it from being a bot/RMT infested mess.

Reading the earlier article, some company called XD is developing it.
Here’s the catch, which maybe you guessed already: Torchlight Infinite is free-to-play, and in the closed beta of the mobile version, the in-game shop offered cosmetics, inventory slots, revival tokens and pets. The real money values were switched off, so it’s anyone’s guess what things will cost or whether the PC version will be the same. XD are best known for free-to-play mobile games, however, including MMORPGs such as Ragnarok Mobile.
You know the same can be said for D3 and I really miss the dark look of D1.
However, Blizzard was always making cartoony games, Warcraft included.

I mean if you want to be hilariously wrong, sure, you can say that.
