The problem here is : diversity.
You got channeling for Vyr, somewhat. And you got it for LoN meteor/tal rasha.
There needs to be other mechanics in play. Having 2 items buffing one skill above everything else is not ideal.

Me neither. While it could be somewhat âeasyâ. Make a source or in the set, that using primary skills, mirror images or black hole to buff hydra damage.
And/or at least remake etched sigil and deathwish to only buff meteor damage.
It would require some testing, with the damage of hydras, if there needs to be an offhand that buffs the damage, when lacking it from channeling or some sort.
I want magic missiles to be part of the set, buffing their dmg and recovering the lost heads. It makes the set and LoD different. LoD can be played with mammoth hydra, itâs the only hydra with only one head, and with other dmging skills. With my suggestions there are a lot of more possibilities: you can mix mammoth hydra with another dmg dealer, LoD increases all dmgâŚ
Thatâs the thing. If you increase the supportive legendaries it also benefits LoN/LoD. And that set has increased damage of everything so it will do more damage when this set does not boost those skills. So the Hydras needs to damage that much more to be competetive.
So both the set needs a boost, more complementary legendaries is needed and a balance overhaul.

I feel it sucks. Itâs mechanically clunky and thematically boring.
Frankly picking hydras as the focus of a set was a stupid decision to begin with. There is nothing remotely interesting about that ability that makes it worth building an entire set around. Couple that with another horrible mechanic for ARPGs (channeling) and then you have a real snoozefest of a build.

If i was blizzard i would change the 4pc to just a flat damage reduction (even if based on heads active, if they donât fall of when being hit)
As far as it feeling like a channeling build. Well that isnât the sets fault. The problem with that is channelling legendaries increase the damage of other skills more then any other weapons combo for the class. If there were 2 required hydra weapons, like a 2hâer that would go in the cube, and the sparker wand, then there would be no room for deathwish. but that limits choiceâŚ
I donât know about using blackhole as a buff to hydraâs in the set. that gives the same playstyle as using slow time for dmo to buff xyz skills.
From what i read blackhole spell steal can buff your dmg with arcane hydras, Just as wave of force. For your other critcism most wizz players want a hydra build .personally im looping forward to it.
I agree, the new set is totally useless. Better just not introduce it as itâs so dump to play it with its current state
Hydras heads dying with shields up, is going to be fixed and will then be working correctly. So I donât think thatâs going to be a problem with the set once that is working the way it is intended. Also the internal cooldown for heads dying off was also bugged and not working correctly, that to will be fixed.
The big problem with this set is the damage output and the Hydra runes/mechanics. Itâs going to be most likely locked into Frost Hydra, because itâs the only one that can really do area damage. Hopefully there is a patch Thursday and we see bugs fixed and the new sets are overall improved a bit.
Every skill we use in GRs uses this boring gameplay: EB, twisters and meteors. Even bazooka lol.
This channeling everywhere must finish and the new set should have a different mechanic.
And The Magistrate should cast the runed version of Frost Nova on the skill barâŚ
This or maybe add WoF to the set. This way hydra can cast a WoF of its element.
Some ppl wants dmg to be 50% hydra 50% other skill so⌠WoF is unused as dmg dealer.
What are you talking about? Currently high GR wiz build only consist of 2 build: SP which is being nerfed and the already nerfed Chantodo. Nerfing DW/ES will eliminate the middle tier GR build ie LOD Meteor and thus leaving wiz with only 1 GR viable build: Chantodo.
If you want more diversified wiz GR builds, then propose a new buff to items, not nerfs to the only items that made wiz viable in GR which is already less capable than crus/barb/monk

Normal players have only one build: vyr/chantodo. Bazooka needs high paragon and macros so not a choice. With my suggestions the wis will have a great variety of choice:
- Vyr chantodo
- true channeling dmg builds (RoF, D and AT)
- spenders builds (meteor, twisters, FO, EB)
- hydras
If next patch is the same, we will have 2: chantodo or channeling.
