I purchased Diablo II from the Blizzard shop, but unable to install the game. I get the message, “Downloader needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this Mac OS. Contact the developer for more information.” I have the latest Mac OS Catalina (Version 10.15.1). Please advise how can I install this game I purchased?

Correct. This is currently a known issue that our developers are looking into. At this time the only workarounds are the following:
- Revert back to 10.14.6
- Use Boot Camp (Not Supported)

You might wish to have your folks update to 10.15.1 on the internal Macs/hackies. If it solves the installation problem, then you likely ran into the same issue Little Snitch developers did with Apple’s funky new kernel pre-linking. Give it a shot and see how it goes!
once D2 on Catalina is fixed, will you guys post somewhere on social media that its resolved? or just here?
