Better XP at 2k Paragon: Tal Meteor or GOD DH

I’ve heard that GOD is the new meta for solo XP farming, but wondering if a bare bones GOD would be better than a pimped up Tal Meteor Wizard?

2k paragons so far playing exclusively Tal Wiz and wondering if I should switch to GOD or if people think it’s not really worth it at this stage?

I’m currently running 120s in around 2.5 min

At 1.3k paragon my GoD DH can do GR120s under 2 min if the rift RNG is optimal.

If you want to try something different, I do recommend GoD. Is it better than Tal Meteor for XP farming? That’s a difficult question.

The main question you need to ask yourself is what do you prefer to play.

- The numbers are only there to illustrate my points -

  • A Tal Rasha in 2.5mins, or a GoD in 2mins?
  • With what class do you plan to push, and therefore have a chance of having better items (via loot)?

I know that at the same level, my WD takes me more than 30 seconds longer than a DH GoD.

But I prefer the WD gameplay (Surprising? Not really) and I plan to push with it.

So I know that I will more easily do speed GR with the WD rather than with the DH, which will quickly tire me (Even if the GoD is funny)

I’m doing 2:15 average with GoD on 124’s. Most of my 129’s are under 3 minutes, too. I’m at P2000-ish now.

This season GoD is probably better for XP farming. But with Tal you should go higher and do a tad longer times. Gonna get same-ish XP, but will have to farm less for keys.

I’m SSF, so my gems are at like 143-145.

Currently I am at 1600s paragon and am running 2-2:30 with my GoD at GR122. My gear is pretty good, all augmented 125 ancients with mostly correct rolls, but definitely not close to max on the rolls.

GoD has has about 50% -100% higher xp than tal due to gph. Tal cant realy make up by going higher tiers. At 2k, you be looking at running 120-122 in 90s or under for god and about 2.5-3mins in tals roughly similar tier.

Nothing can beat GoD’s smooth gameplay. I play wizard most of the time, but never liked these speedruns on Tal or Typhon, it gets boring really fast, imho.

Yes that’s what I was thinking. Ideally I’d like to stay with just the one char as I don’t have that much more time to play while the Mrs is away lol :rofl:
