Better Siphon Blood

Funerary Pick

Siphon Blood gains the effect of all its runes, drains 25 Essence each time damage is dealt, and drains blood from 2 14 additional targets. If there are less than 15 targets, damage is split between targets. Spends 6% of your Life every second while channeled.

Explainer:

  • All runes: Siphon Blood picks globes, slows ennemies (Krysbin), damage stacks
  • All runes: Allows synergies with Nayr’s Black Death, Frostburn gloves, etc.
  • More rays: x5 increased damage. Works against multiple targets or Rift Guardian
  • More rays: Damage dealt more often, gains faster Power Shift stacks
  • Essence spender, each time damage is dealt: Nullifies the Purity of Essence rune. -5 Essence * 15 rays = -75 Essence per attack. Essence spending allows Leger’s Disdain to buff this skill with max damage 100% of the time
  • Life spender, every second while channeled: Nullifies the Drain Life rune. Life spending allows Trag’Oul’s Avatar to buff this skill

Siphon Blood / Power Shift

Damage is increased by 10% 100% each time damage is dealt. Max 10 100 stacks. Siphon Blood’s damage turns into Poison.

  • Since Funerary Pick spends life, and Power Shift is a Poison Skill, It means you can synergize Trag’Oul’s Avatar and Nayr’s Black Death to buff Siphon Blood / Power Shift. This combination is unprecedented

Leger’s Disdain

Grim Scythe and Siphon Blood deals an additional 65 - 80% damage for each point of essence it they restores.

Explainer

  • Leger’s Disdain is now usable with Siphon Blood
  • Fluid Gameplay: since Funerary Pick is now an essence spender, you essence is always empty, which means Siphon Blood can restore Essence (which is immediately consumed) thus Leger’s Disdain can do max damage 100% of the time.
  • Since Funerary Pick spends life, it means you can synergize Trag’Oul’s Avatar and Leger’s Disdain to buff Siphon Blood. This combination is unprecedented

Haunted Visions

Simulacrum now drains 1% of your maximum life every second and lasts forever. They can now duplicate Grim Scythe or Siphon Blood instead of Skeletal Mage.

  • Haunted Visions is now usable with Siphon Blood

Lidless Wall (shield)

Each stack of Power Shift increase your damage reduction by 5% for 60s. Max 500% damage reduction. (Necromancer Only)

  • Strong defense option, but you have to stack Siphon Blood (not for everyone)

Arthef’s Sparkle of Life (2 hands mace)

Heal for 3% of your missing Life when you kill an Undead enemy.
Command Skeletons, Command Golem and Revive can now duplicate Siphon Blood. Siphon Blood deal 1000% increased damage. (Necromancer Only)

  • If you use Siphon Blood, Command Skeletons, Command Golem and Revive will mimic it
  • Active powers of Command Skeletons, Command Golem and Revive remain usable

Convention of Elements / Stone of Jordan / Krysbin

  • Since Funerary Pick unlocks all runes of Siphon Blood (Physical / Cold / Poison), it will synergize with Convention of Elements (200%) and Stone of Jordan (up to 80% x 3 = 240%). Siphon Blood / Suppress rune can trigger Krysbin 100%. Paired with Frostburn gloves, it can trigger Krysbin 300%.

Lornelle’s Sunstone

Your damage reduction is increased by 0.75 - 0.95% 10% for every 1% Life you are missing. Siphon Blood deal 500% increased damage.

Wisdom of Kalan

Increases the maximum stacks of Bone Armor by 5 20. Each stack of Bone armor increase the damage of Siphon Blood by 10% the damage bonus of Bone armor.

Defiler Cuisses

Your Bone Spirit’s damage is increased by 400 - 500% for every second it is active Siphon Blood is channeling. Damage bonus is reset after 10 seconds without any Siphon Blood channeling.

Explainer

  • There is a high demand to buff somehow Bone Spirit. That’s an answer
  • Previous mechanic was clunky because it forced you to move 10 kms away your target to let enough time for Bone Spirit to stack damage. Plus, at 10 kms, the shot was not precise.
  • Now, Siphon Blood channeling allows to stack Bone Spirit damage. It’s a support skill
  • Damage bonus is kept during 10s. You have 10s to touch the target with your Bone Spirit (fire at distance or move near the target) to benefit from the damage stacked.
  • Gameplay : You channel 60s, then you fire a Bone Spirit to finish Rift Guardian. If Rift Guardian is still alive, rechannel immediately (previous stacks are kept if you are still in the 10s interval)
