Battlenet reports phantom updates available for D3

My Battlenet is telling me that there’s an update for Diablo 3 every time I open it. But if I hit ‘update’ it figures out there’s no update and then says ‘good to go’. But next time I open Battlenet – there it is again – there’s an update for Diablo 3.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Battlenet, but no joy.

This is probably not a bug; if it was, there would be hundreds and more reports of this issue. It is more likely that something is preventing Diablo III from being marked as up-to-date… a permission issue perhaps or even a corrupted file.

You should move this topic to the Technical Support forum so that Customer Support will see it. Scroll to the top of this topic and click on the pencil located to the right of the title; a new pane will appear showing the title on the first line and the category under it. Change the category from Bug Report to Technical Support (or Mac Technical Support if you’re on a Mac), and approve the change. This will move the entire topic, including replies.

I had the same thing happen to me about a week ago. I was able to correct it by closing the App and restarting my computer.

Welcome to the club it’s been doing this to me for the past couple of months. I have tried the repair it stops is for a couple of days then starts again. Now I just click update and go about my businesses. At least it’s not preventing me from playing any of the games.
