Same issue here, the battle.net service is down for what appears to be the west coast region. This needs to be fixed before 5 p.m. PDT guys, and honestly your system in place to submit tickets is atrocious, and your support chat only being open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. PDT is the definition of laziness, you took our money, live support should be available 24/7.
Same issue here with the Blizz launcher… (muffled comment about retarded 20 character minimum that this stupid forum software requires).

They know as was already posted. They replied in Tech Support and it seems they are doing updates via Twitter for those who want to follow along. I am sure someone will copy those here as well.
EU and US regions impacted I think. Not everyone, but certainly some.
I seem to be fine. I did not shut down the launcher though or reboot since yesterday. I was likely already authenticated and in.

this workaround is valid I’m in now.
Well we have 41 on in our guild and none can get in, so I think this is like the Coronavirus, a lot more affected than you are letting on.

I would have no idea how many are impacted with the launcher issue. I can’t see the data Blizz has, can’t see individual people’s PCs, and there is no test for that.
I just know it is not 100% everyone. I made no attempt to state any figures as to how many were impacted - high or low.
Is it “really” a good idea for D3 Servers to go down first day of the new season? smh

I just tried it again.
This time I clicked on the Social, Shop and News tabs. They all work fine.
But, the Games tab is still fast asleep.

Blizz got Covid19!!! NOOOOOOO!!!
Game servers are up. I am actually in game NOW. However, the Authentication (Login) servers are having issues so you can’t get to the game servers.
They are working on it.
Huge update ty, were so happy game servers unaffected but we still can’t log into bnet so we cannot play ANY game. I think the solution starts in about 3 hours when Path of Exile league can be downloaded and an hour or two after that their league will smoothly release as usual. Meanwhile bnet fans will be hopelessly waiting for the update tweetz :]
