Just imagine how fun would be to have a battle royale mode in d4 like dark and darker.
It would be epic, instead we are getting a reworked paragon level and limited trading.
Oh yeah, hold on I gotta grab that assault rifle from that chest real quick. Ah crap it rolled low stats, wrong skill modifier and it has life after kill. Nck… Hold on let me try banging at that wall to open a tunnel… Wait… Engine can not handle that. Okay let me flip up my spell book to build a plaza right here… Okay, why my framerates are sinking low now? Render issues? Should’ve guessed.
I missed those kind of threads. Don’t mind me.
I guess that when you don’t go to bed when you are supposed to you start seeing some weird stuff on the forums
I don’t understand the connection between progression systems and pvp
Just go the the fields of hatred and kill everybody
Some people enjoy pve, some pvp and some both.
That’s exactly what blizzard thought about making a Dota game back then, League of leguends became one of the biggest games in history.
Fortnite started as a pve game and then became a powerhouse thanks to the battle royale mode.
If nobody sees the potential here so be it.
Yes I think they should also add something identical to splatoon’s clam blitz as well. Doesn’t matter that Diablo is fundamentally a different game in every way possible, shove it in there anyways, it’ll work
While we’re at it, I would also like a puzzle game element added too. Make it like puzzle bobble! Nothing is more satisfying than shooting colored balls at the right spot and watching everything explode! It’s got built in 1v1 pvp already! This totally fits in the world of Diablo too imo
You mean in pvp? Everyone against everyone? Oh wait that’s basic pvp, unless you grouped in a party with some people.
Which leads me to question how will groups work in the fields of hatred because afaik everyone will automatically be flagged upon entering. Will being in a party disable friendly fire?
Probably. And all enemy spells will have the red effect on it.
The idea is you have fewer & fewer places to retreat and eventually you must stand your ground, or die. Nothing says the “shrinking circle” concept even has to do with direct pvp at all.
Most likely. If you’re in a party with someone, you wouldn’t be hostile with that person in the fields of hatred, as such all attacks/debuffs from you wouldn’t affect anyone in your party nor would you be affected by any of your party members attacks/debuffs.
Man i can’t wait for full on multi party clan battles will be so pog
Everyone is not automatically flagged in PVP area , you do need to mark yourself hostile if you want to do the first blow to another player . The the other player that you try to kill will automatically flagged as hostile .
So its better to remember to mark yourself before entering , since its a PVP area anyway … just in case
Or turn in shards of hatred
Would be kinda pointless if you could safely farm them
Battle royale isn’t even fun in games designed around it.
What would really be funny is to get 40 on 40. One side would have temporary Angel skins on, the other Demon skins and we could play out the Eternal Conflict on the plains of Despair. Pandemonium Fortress for the Angels, Chaos Sanctuary for the Demons. Think of some unique type of PVP similar to Alertac Valley or Wintergrasp.
Yeah, sure, let’s encourage even more overly useless toxicity and botting, not that either needs a reason but when it is dulce de leche with cinnamon swirls, its perfectly fair to abuse what’s already there… so, yeah, why not. Every player by default is hostile and can be killed by any other at any time. Victory means you can loot their entire inventory and take 10 items plus half gold.
Yeah… that’d go over so well with the entitled masses of coddled cuckleberries.
Just jump in front of other player’s attack and get them flagged for pvp. That’s not first time system like that has been used.
Easy way to griefing too.
Sounds absolutely terrible.
Relatively you can, if you go under everyone else’s radar. Cleansing them is when everyone is going to be alerted and can snach it if they kill you during the process. It’s a king of the hill type of encounter.
