Bastion’s Revered and Bane of the Stricken

Bastion’s revered says it hits an additional time per stack of frenzy.

Bane of the stricken says you deal increased damage per hit.

Do they synergize or are the extra hits somehow excluded from procing stricken?

Edit: also, does bane of the stricken synergize with whirlrend for rend applications?

The stricken stacks are only currently increased to the target you are actively attacking/targeting, whether that monster is targeted by a keyboard or mouse button.

In a single target attack skill like frenzy, this is easy to understand. In a cleave/AoE attack skill like “sweep” for the crusader that hits multiple targets simultaneously, I think the first target hit from the far left side (relative to the character’s perspective) is the only one that receives stricken stacks.
