Barbarian Unforgiving Passive Skill

Hi all!

Can someone explain what this skill is supposed to do? In my limited vocabulary, degenerate is the opposite of generate, so in my mind degenerate would mean you no longer lose Fury, correct?

Appreciate any assistance!!

Mike

With Unforgiving Passive, Barb regenerates Fury instead of losing it while idle.

Ah, never knew the Barbarian lost Fury while idle…

Thanks, yessquire!!

Yes, they are the only Class that does not generate Resource unless they attack with Resource generating Skills. (Or have the Unforgiving Passive, as yessquire pointed out).

In the Diablo universe, all Barbarians are essentially Berserkers. Even their Skills are Berserker-related: Ground Stomp, Avalanche, Wrath of the Berserker, etc. And their Resource is called “Fury”.

According to general Berserker lore, Berserkers only “Hulk-out” when they get very angry… or Furious. So, as long as the Barbarian is not attacking the enemy, they do not generate Fury. They do the opposite: They degenerate Fury.

With the Unforgiving Passive: They “no longer degenerate Fury.”

Necromancers also do not passively generate Resource, but only Barbarians passively lose Resource that was generated.

Perusoe ~ thank you for the detailed explanation! Makes perfect sense, now.

yessquire ~ I also play a Necromancer, so thanks for that tid-bit as well!

Baseline Monk, too.

But again, no degeneration unless you’re wearing Shenlong’s.
