Asking for a little help!

I’m a casual player and I don’t post much but I would really like my seasonal Tal wizard Zedicus to do 150. 149 (leaderboard #523) was the perfect greater rift with shield and power for guardian but since then I cannot seem to kill fast enough. Any suggestions would be welcome.

If you’re able to do 149 but unable to do 150, without any details about your character specifically, it may simply be needing upgrades/more augments?

I’m a console player, so if that’s a PC leaderboard, I cannot see it.

So you say that you have been able to complete a 149? Though you weren’t able to do it a second time, you were able to do it at least once?

I made a maxroll link https:// maxroll.gg/d3/d3planner/508839393 just take out all the spaces after // thanks

You’re really trying to push the envelope with that guy. I’m surprised 149 has been a struggle with that. Yeah, you have more wiggle room with your augments.

Could it be possible that you’re to the point where it’s a matter of map farming?

Yeah, this to me looks like a map fishing and mob grouping problem now.

Just for reference to see a bit of my GR150 clear at around P2550 (Cold Meteor). Far from perfectly played or perfect mobs/pylons:

Fishing is now the most important thing.

Today I passed the 150 (WD, Helltooth Teddy bears around P2800), but it took me several tries, to have the right map, the right mobs, and the right pylons at the right time

I wonder… Back in vanilla times, stutter stepping with ZB WD was the meta; when you stutter step to cast Zombie Bears, the bears fork away and stampede the same target twice, or steer to targets that are normally outside the path of your cast. Is it still the case after Helltooth ZB WD got Ursua’s bonuses? Or is it not needed and somewhat redundant with longer range from Ursua’s mojo now?

Edit: Nice.

It’s all about fishing a good Orek’s Dream with Conduit & Power or just an open map with the same pylons. Yoy have to collect elites around Conduit as many as possible.

Most of that gear looks OK except Halo of Karini - 69% is too low. Also, you can try to put Squirt’s Necklace in Cube and put on RoRG instead of CoE.

I haven’t played in a while, but I think tal rasha still works the same way. In my days we would play it with squirts and aughilds at your paragon, but either should work. But that’s something you could consider if you want to trade defense for damage.

Your gear looks good overall, with the one huge exception of the karini. Swap to one close to 80%, even if it means giving up crit rolls, it’ll feel a lot better.

For skills, you really want magic weapon conduit when playing star pact. It will be a lot of extra effective dps. You lose the shield, but with a 80% karini you’ll still be more tanky, and your follower provides sustain.

Give your templar some love on that note. There is no excuse to not have him at 25k str at your paragon, craft guardians for him if needed, or throw some 125 augments on him. And roll CDR for him on all slots that can have it, it works on his heal, providing you more sustain.

Otherwise might be an issue with execution. You probably know this already. but just in case:
First farm some keys, then reroll rifts until you get an open map with a manageable mobtype. Kite forward with enemies at the edge of the screen, keep your distance for survival, zeis and power hungry buffs. Keep up move-meteor stutter stepping Don’t bother with oculus rings. Make sure elites follow. Run a circle around the following mobs if it’s getting too busy, or if elites don’t follow well. Hope for power or condi, at which point you check a few screens ahead in all directions, kite everything back to the pylon, then click pylon and nuke it all. Clear most of the trash before you click a condi, but not needed for a power pylon. Leave rift if you’re falling too far behind in progressions.

Thanks all for the tips they did help. with the newly crafted karini I made 150.
