Asia server is dead now.
New record of login issue happens the fifth times in 7 days.
Congrat,eventually,Blizzard become the company yourself hate so much. 
No, I don’t have any issue. I have played for an hour earlier without any problem. I was playing in TW server.
Also like to mentioned that I had tested within 15 minutes of your last report: Asia server is dead again
No issue had been found too. Both TW and KR servers.
Since there is no other players have reported any issue in Asia server, your problem could be a stand alone instance.

What I actually want to say is it might not be a bug. I suggest you to try some troubleshooting steps stickied at top of Technical Support forum.
I tried to login after browsing the reply.
Than login issue happen again.
With wrong code:3006
By the way.
The number of my battlenet friend online is zero(never happen before).
Game stuck in character choosing and bump out the code:3006.

After finishing my reply.
I login successfully.
Starting a new GR now.
Please still consider the code:3006 issue.
One minute before I am kick out of the game with code:1016
I think 3006 is something related to network connection.
i.e. it belongs to technical issue.

Are you in TW or other country?
If you are outside TW, you may be affected by two subsea cable damages ( APCN2 S6 and APCN2 S7). S7 has been repaired on Dec 12 but S6 is still under repair.
