When you see two arrows one most likely pointing to an objective and other to Vision portal. If you needed to check you can always press map button.
I tried to get one that also included the purple Keywarden Arrow. But, I ran out of patience.
Note: Iâm on a Map (Northern Highlands) that does not have a Bounty.
can you really follow any but the one on the right, though?
It doesnât matter.
What you donât know is I only used the Map I embedded above as an example. It is actually showing four of five Arrows for ONE Bounty in the Southern Highlands: The Triune Reborn.
However, I have been on Maps before that showed those same four Arrows, the Arrow for the Bounty in the area I was currently working on, the purple Arrow for the Keywarden on an adjacent Map AND the Arrow for the Visions Portal.
My point was: It isnât always just two Arrows you have to look at.
Color-coding the Arrows would be helpful. But, itâs been almost 13 years now. I donât plan on losing any sleep over it.
yah yah i agree with all that, but in that specific example i just gave an example of how my thought process would solve the situation and to reach any of them i would go right, which in turn my high intellect would discern the speed and angle of movement of each arrow to determine which were the closest and my direction would in turn adjust in kind.
Most of the time though, i just head to the original arrow when entering the area because thereâs mostly just the one, and if thereâs two then i understand a second bounty is near enough to show the arrow, but when i enter the map i can tell which is the right one from experience.
you see, the confusion seems to be when the vision pops, but i canât understand really why anyone would have trouble with that since itâs only going to pop in the direction in which youâve already traversed, so it would be really really silly to confuse it with the one youâre already focused on and heading towards.
Which leaves me to wonder what is really behind the confusion of the arrows. I guess if one is doing a clear off the beaten path or exploring it could cause confusion, but those people arent the typical bounty blasters so what do they care if they have to mouse over an arrow or take a little time to glance at a map or possibly have to back track a little?
i mean even on the bounties with 5 objectives to interact with and an arrow in kind itâs not that big of a deal to have a vision pop and another arrow and almost never a problem because itâs not often the first bounty you do, and if youâre ignoring visions then the vision will only pop one time during that game instance and if you care then you will just kinda force pop one during your first or second bounty and then you wont get another ever that same game during any of the other bounties.
But i guess if youâre not a solo self found player, and only god knows why youâre not, git gud, then i guess i could see an extremely minor situation where youâre both inefficiently farming the same bounty at the same time and billy over there pops a vision and you think the arrow that just popped up is the bounty. very very minor, but you shouldnt be doing bounties together in the same area anyway, and if you dont care about efficiency then how can you care about arrow color and backtracking?
i mean, are we talking practicality here, or are we talking under the guise of a bott that cant discern between the duplicate arrow type and in turn causes bott failure when a vision arrow pops? THUD reading the memory wrong? i dunno, i have to assume because i dont touch them and wouldnt know if this were a âproblemâ for them atm.
Anyways, Color-coding the Arrows would be extremely slightly helpful to a few players whom lose track of the first arrow while doing misc things that they enjoy during a bounty, but is inefficient. Worth it? yah i think so in the end. But this is Blizzerd, not Blizzard North so good luck.
tldr: i dunnoâŚ
without the two paragraphs that start at

I could have liked your post.
Why would you say that?
I have no idea what you are talking about.
Iâm simply replying to the topic of this thread. @Blueflammie suggested Arrows of a different color were added showing the location of Visions Portals.
Are you kidding me?! Now, youâre bringing up Bots and THUD?!
What part of
AND
Do you NOT understand?!
NO! You certainly donât.

inductive reasoning. i was empathetically placing myself in the shoes of those who want the arrow changed, not you specifically.

Then, you should NOT have replied to me⌠specifically.
got some more popcorn?
EDIT: Just went to the d2r forums - need more popcorn! Fast! Now!
well, i was replying to you, but not speaking of you in that instance specifically.
