The Roman empress Elagabalus preferred to be called a woman and wanted sex reassignment surgery. As long ago as 2500 BC, there were records of transgender priests in Sumer and the Akkadian Empire. Accounts of them continue throughout history. Transgenderism is not a modern construct.
In midieval europe, homosexuality was indeed socially unacceptable in most areas; but this is largely tied to the influence of Christianity which doesn’t exist in the Diablo universe.
All in all however, this is a fantasy game. LGBT people are certainly more realistic than demons invading from hell. If your suspension of disbelief can take you past that, it can certainly tolerate a few LGBT people.

Hey there. Just to try and cut the thread short : almost everyone would be ok with some GRSM character(s) being in Diablo 4, but it’s not something that should be forced in it.
Diablo 3 already fails at properly delivering a cohesive story, so I think it would be better to focus our energy into making sure that they deliver one properly in Diablo 4, rather than to try to force stuff in it, which may lead to an even worse narration.
Now, if I were you, I wouldn’t worry too much about GRSM representation issues, as Blizzard is already quite conscious about those issues.
Now can we please all agree to let this topic die? The thread has a terrible title that frames the matter in a manner that invites to negative answers instead of a proper discussion on the matter. Or rename the thread in a manner that invites to positive discussion. But as is, it’s not surprising that there’s so much negative responses to the thread.

A thousand times this. They had a once in a lifetime chance with Azmodan, but they really dropped the ball here. He’s the lord of sin for crying out loud, but his entire shtick is having poop all over his realm. Most disappointing demon lord ever.

Ok this is a troll post answering to this thread, a similar asking for space goats poped up. I like how the community works on to make this post irrelevant. And before i got baned, flaged, bashed what ever im not against LBGTQ. But i hate LBGTQ members who try to force their agenda in to everything.

According to Wiki, LGBT demographics in the U.S. is about 4%. If you identify as LGBT, fine. More power to you. But, if 95% of potential D4 players do not identify as LGBT, then it would be a hard sell for developers to justify putting resources into making one character LGBT.

IF i remember correctly, but i maybe not, blizz said all characters will have a male and female version. But if not its only fair for the druid to be male only, if the sorceress is going to be female only
