So with d4 coming up soon and the OP altar of rites season theme for s28, I’d really like to try and complete a gr150 with my favorite build which is Chantodo’s Vyr double elements. Having not played it for a while, do you guys think it would be possible to do it with the new altar powers? Also, are there any changes in the mechanics of the set I should be aware of (hence, do the time warp bubble of non-archon and archon still stack and such?)
No, that was fixed in 2.7.4 when they updated DMO/Crown of the Primus.
I think Vyr’s will require 5k+ paragon for GR150 in season 28.
Using Rage and dmkt’s adjusted clear formula, the highest adjusted (to 5k) Vyr’s clear is GR144, but that’s a big outlier (EDIT: this was a Vyr’s Frozen Orb clear, not Chantodo’s!). Most of the adjusted clears are more in the 135-140 range.
If you assume that the S28 theme gives +15 tiers, then it’ll be doable at 5k. +15 tiers might be a bit generous, although Vyr’s does benefit pretty strongly from the Empowered Shrine.
I still think a decent player is probably going to want at least 5k paragon to attempt it. And that would still take a lot of effort, to make it easy you’d want even more paragon. The best sub-5k clear in the previous era was a GR135. The build benefits disproportionately from high paragon because that enables you to drop Karini for Endless Walk + Squirt’s + CoE for maximum DPS. The toughness buffs in S28 may help you do that a bit sooner. I don’t have enough experience with the EW + Squirt’s + CoE setup to comment on what paragon that might be viable at in S28. If you want to do 150 with Vyr’s, that’ll be the way you have to go though.

Oh, that’s a bummer the time warp no longer stacks 
Well, I’ve usually played with the EW + Squirt’s + CoE setup back then when Chantodo was last buffed even at lower paragon (~2k). Somehow I get the feeling that killing trash faster is better for toughness as well since it grants more archon stacks so I’ve always played without Karini.
I was thinking that the 10 min empowered shrines along with the enchantress cdr would allow me to drop some of cdr on gear in favor of more attack speed so that could also improve the defense by gaining stacks at a faster rate.
On another note, those paragons are crazy high lol. I was planning on farming and leveling up gems with Tal Rasha which should be able to run 150s comfortably so idk how much paragon I’ll have when I attempt the push with Vyr’s… It will depend on how lucky I get with drops I guess.
