Hi,
I’ve searched the web and you guys are my last resort…. I am playing D3 and I’m playing as a necro. I have “Fates Vow” as the helm selected in Kanai’s Cube which should auto use “unconventional warfare” but this does not auto cast AoTD. I’m confused as I have seen other peoples YouTube videos of this working for them and I can not see why it is not working for me. Any help?
It works when you have a Sanctified item equipped that grants the power to auto-cast Army of the Dead… it is not the helm, specifically, that does it.
An item can be Sanctified using an Angelic Crucible (available only in Season) and you can only have one Sanctified item equipped (in this case, people are probably using the helm…). When a Crucible is used, one of three powers is bestowed so you may have to do it again.
Oh, and being uneducated is not a bug. It is a feature of ignorance.
Yeah I have the item in cube selected
So? The Cube has absolutely nothing to do with any of this.
You need the Sanctified power equipped… and there is only one way to get that.
Sorry I’m new to this forum… it wouldn’t let me edit my reply…
Right… I have a sanctified helm and I have worn it and it still did not auto attack… I have also got the same helm in cube selected… as that I was also told watching YT vids that that should do it… I’ve also tried one or the other… but nothing works…
OK, two things:
Do not Cube an item and wear it. Doing this causes the Cube version to be used rather than the item equipped so special properties unique to the actually worn item will not be used so even if it is Sanctified, the game will ignore it. So, equip the Sanctified helm and change the armor Cube power to something else, like Razeth’s Volition (for example.)
And secondly, do you have the right Sanctified power? There are three and only one of them affects Army of the Dead - it being Sanctified, in and of itself, does not guarantee the desired power was randomly assigned to it.
Also… presumably, there are enemies nearby. If you’re murdering everything from afar you may not see the activation as they are not “nearby” which, in this case is like 15 yards or so (I’m not entirely certain on its range but you’re not going to kill things with it off-screen whereas you can, in theory, with other necromancer powers.)
