Any point to conqueror this season?

I’ve played and completed many seasons of D3 and I got to the point where I have to do conquests…normally I do The Thrill, Avarice, and one other one. But this season it seems like the conquests are…not for me. Fortunately, it seems like I already have the rewards from this season. Does this mean I can just forget about completing conqueror this season? I’m not missing out if I already have the stuff, right?

If you have this season’s cosmetics from a previous season and all 5 stash tabs from SJ, then you are good.

Pretty much, you’re fine. If you have the cosmetic rewards from previous Conquests, you can still work towards the extra stash tab if you haven’t reached five extra tabs yet. Also in case you have all extra stash tabs and the cosmetics from Conquests, you still have an Altar to grind for.

Okay yeah I will just complete the altar then and enjoy, ty

Guardians set 2 pack with royal ring with full suit, roll gems up and do one hardcore conquest. Guardians set is at blacksmith… upper set to finish Altar… cheers! Doable … and once you get one Toon set on Class such as DH… then run Impale, Gears and Marauder or UE… that will do 5 of 6 toons needed for Years of War(I believe that is what it is called or may be Hardcore version anyways 6 toons to level asked is conquest also. I always do one Hardcore conquest, makes it that much easier… besides who doesn’t like starting over? lol

I believe you mean 6 Sets.

Some players complete Years of War/Dynasty with 1 “toon”. Most players, like me, use 2 “toons”. But, it is NOT necessary to level 5 or 6 “toons” to complete this Conquest. (Unless you just want  to).

The image below is from a previous Season. I completed Years of War with my main Demon Hunter and an alternate Monk. (2 “toons”, 6 Sets).

Terminology – Toon(s)

Toon is an abbreviation for “Cartoon”. Toon is a gaming term for a Player Character.

I prefer to use “Character” or “Char” because: This is a cartoon: This a Character:

The thing is I’ve done like 30 full seasons at this point…and my internet doesn’t allow me to play HC anymore…starting over is fine and fun but these days I just pick one maybe 2 characters to play per season (if I even play season at all anymore)

I’m sorry to hear that. HC is the first thing I think of when someone can’t think of a reason to keep going. It’s a whole new experience but yeah, bad internet is a huge bane to HC. I have really good internet but suspiciously, I only ever get rubber-banding on HC. Granted, it does not happen all the time, but I’ve never had it happen once on SC.

HC is definitely a lot of fun. I actually never died in the mode (to be fair I also didn’t push very far or high). But I get pretty frequent disconnects on my parents wifi since they have it configured far away from my room and so many updates and devices and streaming they do… basically at any moment it can go out for my computer unfortunately. But yeah HC is a lot of fun even though I remember it has a lot fewer players or players who play in public games or groups

Wi-Fi extenders are pretty cheap. There are also USB Wi-Fi dongles with an antenna that plug into the computer.

I have been playing D3 since the start. But this past few seasons attracted my attention enough to really stay involved. But I had never made a hardcore char until a couple of days ago.

So I went for it and made 3 HC Crusaders. The first one died quickly. The second showed promise and I was making progress until I got trapped by wallers in a vision and bit the dust.

But my third try was the ticket! I managed to complete the Season Journey and obtain Guardian rank by boosting 3 gems to level 65 in HC.

I think I have found a new interest in the game.

Unfortunately it is my parents house and I am a guest, I don’t want to make any waves or change their stuff. I will be okay without playing HC, it’s really no problem for me.

You don’t have to change anybody’s anything. From what I understand, you just plug the Wifi extender into any electrical wall socket and it increases the wifi range up to 1500 sq. ft. You’ll have to download and install the App to add devices to it. But, that’s about it.

And if you have other people in the household that uses a wireless connection, you might even be able to get them to chip in for the cost. They’ll benefit from it too.

Here’s two on Amazon:

Nice part about HC is it will make you a better SC player. You can’t just throw corpses at the content and win. Glad you stuck with it for the third try!

You say I don’t have to change anything, but then say

I’m going to guess it wouldn’t be so smooth or simple with what my parents use tbh. They’re old people, I doubt the router even works with any app, and I don’t want apps in the first place. It’s a massive headache I’m not interested in experiencing. They don’t understand if they would benefit or not. It works fine enough for them, but they don’t game so it’s good enough. If they lose connection for a moment, the netflix buffer takes care of that and they don’t even notice. If I lose connection for a second while playing…which happens randomly but often enough that makes HC a near impossibility unless I am purely interested in going insane…I’m fine without it. And now I see the price, too…yeah no, sorry. Appreciate you trying to help though, but really it’s okay, I’m fine without HC for now

That’s why I mentioned the dongle that can extend your computer’s Wi-Fi range without touching anyone else’s things.

I never really experienced that, I felt just as good as SC player (where I hardly ever die) and HC (where I never have). I guess that just means I’m a bad SC player since I never bothered to do anything where I’m “throwing corpses at it” to beat it

The old saying was, “If you ain’t dying, you ain’t trying.” That doesn’t work in HC LOL

The App is only used to identify your device. Your computer.

If you’ve ever used a wireless mouse & keyboard, it’s the same process. Except you’re “pairing” your computer to the extender.

But, that’s okay. I was just offering a suggestion.

I think you can create tougher builds to withstand a few seconds of connection lost, but there’s no guarantee a small connection stagger won’t turn out to be a drop. And if you are pushing further than GR135-140+, you can kiss that character goodbye at the occurrence of a stagger regardless of how much toughness you had.

Actually scratch the above part, I’m a horrible Softcore player. I always end up tossing corpses at monsters in low-tier Visions as I level up to first 70.
